i stay awake at night,
imagining the ghost of you lying beside me.
the idea makes me smile,
because i know now,
in death you've found your release.even though you're gone,
i know now you never truly are
so when it's time to move on,
i take a deep breath and nod,
knowing you're looking at me from the stars.
