May you all find everything you are looking for. May you heal from all the things no one ever apologised to you for.

As mentioned before, this one and a couple of more chapters ahead will be more businessish than romantic. it's kinda for the groundwork for furthering the plot.

This is for you _riinx

I heard Veer say something about shine and star but l was too far gone to give it a coherent thought.

Veer's POV

Friday, 17th July 2019
Athens, Greece

"You look ready to kill someone," my best friend, Sahil Sharma or Seshi, spoke closing the door behind him.

I gazed at him with a bored look. "What do you mean?"

Sahil snorted. "Veer, your eyes are cold enough to stop global warming right now. I just want to know if I will have to cancel my plans to help you hide the dead body."

My lips quirked. Leaning back against my desk, l crossed my arms over my chest. "Not today, Dramebaaz"

He raised a single eyebrow at me. "Oh, l am the dramebaaz? If l recall correctly the last time you looked at a board of executives with those chilling looks, they almost peed himself."

"I wonder why. It's not like l fired them," l mocked with a smirk.

Seshi snorted. "Yeah. You didn't fire them. You had goons find all their black money, threaten them and anonymously donate to NGOs."

l rolled my eyes while going around the desk to sit in my chair. "Alright. So maybe I don't always do the most legal things. But in my defense, it wasn't even their money to start with."

"You need to learn to keep your temper on leash," Seshi said shaking his head, "Seriously, you do the worst things when you are angry. Even l get scared. So much so that the longer you are in a room with the person you are furious with the more l see the both of us featuring in the next episode of Crime Patrol."

My gaze snapped to him. "What?"

He frowned. His coffee-coloured eyes showing genuine confusion. "You prefer Savdhaan India instead? I am not picky. I will go wherever you go."

I couldn't help but burst out laughing. Seshi had the weirdest sense of humor. Sometimes, l marvelled at how l was still friends with this man even after 12 years. "Seshi, maybe you should consider going to a therapist?"
