Habib ibn Mazahir betook himself to the tribe of
Bani Asad near their place of encampment, when
Imam gave him the permission to do so.He offered them the finest gift—invited them
Towards welfare; to assist Imam Husayn and his
Companions against ibn Sa'ad and his soldiers—
So as to attain honour in this world and the next,And martyrdom with the grandson of the
Prophet of Allah; a thoroughfare to the lofty paradise.
Ubaydullah ibn Basheer was the first to accept the
Glorious invitation, and 90 men gathered to assist the Imam.Ibn Sa'ad sent Azraq with 40 horsemen towards
Bani Asad when a man amongst them (Bani Asad)
Apprised him of the situation. The horsemen stopped them
On the bank of the river Euphrates from reachingImam Husayn's army. The tribe of Bani Asad returned
Back when they ascertained they were incapable of
Resisting the horsemen, while Habib ibn Mazahir returned
