Chapter 71 - empty.hand

[ Sana's house ]

While waiting for the guest, they chill at the living room, sipping hot coffee, except Sana slurping the smoothies she made by herself.

"How can you go to Yoo's house empty-handed??" Father's eyes widened, putting down the cup to the table.

"but really otousan, we visit here and there, we don't bring gifts" Sana shrugged.

"it will leave you a good impression, next time you should let me know, right Sana's mom?" He glanced at mom.

"yes, we should buy fruits at least,, or do Koreans prefer kimchi?? anyway Sana, do they know about you?" Mom jokingly smiled at her.

"okasan...what's with that question? why both of you so curious, so interested at my soulmate," Sana slightly glares before checking the time.

They both chuckles, "what's wrong with us caring about our daughter.. wait-Soulmate!???"

"yes yes~" Sana proudly answered, "oohh right, i haven't explained it before.." she muttered.

"woWoWoW, so you both are connected by Akaiito? welcome to the club!" Mother beamed.

"can we see our daughter's red string?" Father added.

Sana slightly raises her wrist, "it's unseeable for others, but i can show you," :)

A butler comes, and bows his her head, "Sir, Mam, the guest has arrived"

[ Living Room ]

The three came in, Jeongyeon brought a basket full of fruits and a bouquet of flowers. They politely greeting Mr and Mrs. Minatozaki :)

Followed by Tzuyu and Mina after. Jeongyeon knows so damn well how to impress everyone today, she is wearing formal attire and applied light makeup, her hair was not tied and so neat.

Even to the japanese who spent almost a year as her roommate, but her mouth was agape, eyes somehow stuck on Jeongyeon, lost count of the time, lucky her mom talked which brings her soul back.

Mrs.Mtzk surprised, "ehhh, my favourite floweeeerr~" she turns to Sana and whispers "Sana-chan, did you tell her i like white roses?"

"no, Ka-san" Sana shakes her head and stares at Jeongyeon in confusion. where did she get all of this information from??

Chatting at the living room, The butler came and nicely places the hot tea on the table for them,

gosh, Jeongyeon is so good at talking, i bet mom and father will like her a lot.

time to prank

Sana forcibly pulls the red string which made Jeongyeon's hand swing to the left, of course the older staring at her blankly, "hmm??"

"ahaha nothing," Sana shows her innocent smile before trying another prank again.

Mina saw what Sana did, Red string can be pulled?? she stares somewhere at her hand,

. . . . i forgot i don't have one

Tzuyu whispers, "Mina, i'm just curious can people touch other's red string??"

"i don't know" Mina lightly shakes her head.

"try mine" Tzuyu gives her hand, the red string where it came all the way from her cheeks to her hand then to the absent Nayeon.

Mina try to reach Tzuyu's red string and but it just went through, "looks like i could only see it" yeah and claim it, i almost forgot the existence of that scary power

"ohh wow" Tzuyu then pulled hard the red string in an attempt to tease the working café girl.

"hahah, are you all playing with ur red string??" Mr. Minatozaki try to pull theirs too, which immediately counter-attacked by his wife, "Is this something.. not dangerous, it will stay, right? hahahah" He laughed while having fun teasing her again.

"i also think for the same thing, " Jeongyeon teasingly smiles at Sana who is still pulling the string between them, "be careful, if we both pulled it too hard, who knows,, it might breaks"

Sana was startled and stopped, "really?"

"aHAHAHAHAH!!" Jeongyeon laughed like illama and pinches her cheeks, "got you!!"

Everyone bursts into laughter, Sana gets embarrassed and she hits Jeongyeon's back several times.

Mina who seems to be not aware of the lighthearted atmosphere,

Looking down at her empty hands

Blankly stares, before letting out a deep sigh.

will my life be any different if I have one?
