[ morning ]

Sana wanted to show her gratitude to the "Master Shifu of Mathematics," so she woke up extra early. Instead of buying food, she carefully cooked breakfast herself.

. . .

"WAKE UPPPP, Sunshine!!"

Jeongyeon jolted awake at Sana's sudden yell, groaning curses under her breath—until the smell hit her nose. She blinked at the table. "You... cooked? You woke up earlier than me? Wow" She chuckled, impressed.

Sana tugged her arm. "Yeah, hurry up, lazybum."

Jeong's grin widened at the sight of the neatly plated food. She reached out, pinching Sana's cheeks. "Wahhh, aigoo aigoo~ I'm lucky to be yours"

"Yaaahh—" Sana rubbed her reddening cheeks, flustered. "Go shower!"

Jeong laughed at her reaction before obediently heading into the bathroom.

While she was gone, Sana fussed over the kitchen counter. She'd ordered soy milk for Mina—since Mina was allergic to dairy—and now she was attempting dalgona coffee for the first time. After endless whisking, the foam finally stood firm.

. . .

Not long after, Mina arrived at 230, arms full of grocery bags alongside the delivery man.

"Look at my successful first try! HA" Sana beamed, proudly tilting the cup. The thick foam didn't even budge.

"is that dALGONA???" Mina gasped, eyes lighting up.

"Yes!" Sana grinned, pouring soy milk into three cups with ice cubes, then spooning the frothy coffee on top. "Coffee before exam!"

The two watched, impressed.

"I tried before, but failed every time... how did you—" Mina started.

Jeongyeon emerged from the bathroom, hair damp. She grabbed her cup, took a sip, and sighed in delight. "Nyum. Bye americano. Sana's dalgona is my new favorite"

Sana's grin stretched ear to ear. "ㅋㅋㅋ Let's eat first, then practice. Brain warm-up before the exam!"

So they quizzed each other over equations while munching. Each time Sana answered right, Jeong lit up with pride. From the dumb hamster of math, Sana was now actually remembering formulas.

[ school ]

Exam tables were spread out across the hall. Papers passed hand to hand.

Sana glanced up at Jeongyeon seated at the front. Jeong was already staring at her, giggling when their eyes met, mouthing exaggerated words: Hwaiting! Halsu isseo!

Sana exhaled. Alright. I got this.

[ 7 days later ]

Exam week ended. Sana definitely passed the minimum score—no small victory. Jeong and Mina? Perfect scores or close to A's, unsurprisingly.

Results would be out in one or two weeks. But for now—

—it was their last night in the dorm.

They spent hours packing, folding clothes, tossing out half-opened snacks. Jeong suddenly laughed.

"Sana-yah, maybe I should pack you too"

"What do you mean?" Sana blinked.

"Because you're mine." Jeong burst into laughter at her own flirty joke.
