Jeongyeon put down her phone after chatting with Mina. She started tidying the table, walking slowly to the rubbish bin, then back again to wipe it down. Her movements were slower than usual; her waist just wouldn't let her.

This pain is so troublesome... How long until the med reaches my waist?

She unlocked her phone and searched, how long does painkiller work?

"20–30 minutes, huh?" she muttered.

She checked the time. 29 minutes already. Lazy med~

Maybe if I stay still, it'll work faster.

She sank into the couch and rested her head back, closing her eyes while counting the seconds.

"One, two, three, four..."

. . .

"...hundred thirty-seven, hundred thirty-eight, hundred thirty-nine—"

"Two hundred thirty," a voice cut in.

Jeongyeon felt a soft touch on her forehead. She opened her eyes and blinked. Sana was already coming downstairs with pillows and blankets.

"Excuse me?" Jeongyeon asked, wiping her forehead.

"yes, honey?" Sana teased as she carried the bedding over.

"W-who gave you permission to kiss my forehead?" Jeong flustered at both the kiss and the sudden honey"

"Can't I show affection to my beloved girlfriend?" Sana plopped the pillows and blanket beside her.

"Cannot,"

"Move. I'm extending the couch," Sana ignored her answer.

"We're sleeping here?" Jeongyeon stepped aside.

"You want to crawl up and down the stairs with your injury like that?"

"Hehe... no"

Sana chuckled while pulling the couch open.

"Isn't it too early to sleep?" Jeongyeon asked.

"Just rest. You shouldn't move around anyway. I put an ice-pack plaster in the fridge. Tell me if it's not cold anymore."

"Okay"

Sana switched on the TV, then tucked herself under the blanket.

"What were you counting just now?" she asked.

"Nothing. I was bored."

"Two hundred thirty-one..." Sana continued the count.

"LOL staph!" Jeong burst out laughing.

"ㅋㅋㅋㅋ," Sana chuckled.

"Our room number is 230," Jeongyeon said suddenly.

"Then?"

"Coincidence?" Jeong tilted her head at her.

"Hmm?" Sana looked puzzled.

"Your shoe size is also 230, right?"

"Yep. Wait—how do you know? Are you my stalker? ㅋㅋㅋ" Sana giggled.

"Pfft. Sana-ya, we have the exact same shoe size."

"Really?" Sana jumped off the couch to check their shoes at the entrance.

Jeong watched her from the couch.

"Whoa," Sana's eyes widened.

"Told ya~" Jeong smirked.

"Is there more cool stuff?" Sana returned to the couch.

"The 230 thing already shocked me tho"

"So are we... 230 couple?" Sana grinned.

"...Ummm, yes?" ._.

Sana giggled. "Lemme think. We first met at... at..."

"Near the school entrance," Jeongyeon finished.

"Yep! Before that, I saw your bracelet from afar. I walked over, picked it up, and not even a minute later... spilled your americano."

"LOL." Jeong grinned at the memory.

"I still remember your pissed face. ㅋㅋㅋ" Sana teased.

"Sorry about that. I was so frustrated—I thought I really lost my bracelet," Jeong chuckled.

"ㅋㅋㅋ, and then we exchanged numbers at the Lost & Found office."

Both of them laughed.

"Anyway, Jeong—"

"Hmm?"

"Months ago, you had a nightmare about this." Sana lifted her hand, the one with the red string.

"Yeah. And you being scared of thunder. By the way, there was a thunderstorm two weeks ago, but you stayed still in bed, I thought you'd scream."

I was screaming internally, you baka! If I screamed, I'd wake everyone up.

Sana laughed awkwardly. "Hahaha, don't throw the topic back to me, I still have a question"

Jeong smiled. "What?"

"So you're not afraid of it anymore?" Sana asked timidly.

"Hmmm. If I was still afraid, I'd have escaped to Mars or Jupiter when the red string appeared. But honestly speaking? I didn't get any anxiety when I saw your wrist that night"

"Eh? That fast? You were crying so badly that time, hehe"

"You also screamed so loud my eardrum almost exploded," Jeong pouted, sliding down to lie on the couch.

"Yah... I'm still scared of thunder, okay..." Sana pouted too.

"And my conclusion is: I'm not afraid anymore." Jeong kept pouting.

"alright alright, let's stop this dumb debate, i gonna switch the TV channel to something else" Sana took the TV remote.

"Tss, fine. Let's watch something."

She flicked through channels, looking for something decent.

"This?"

"This," Jeong answered quickly, eyes locked on the screen.

Sana glanced at the TV. Teletubbies? At this age?

She bit her lip to stop laughing. Didn't expect Jeongyeon to like cartoons...
