*phone ringing

Jeongyeon *picks up

"are you guys done? am i interrupting? lol"

"ㅋㅋㅋ, hey Tzu, we're lookin' for you, where you guys at?"

"umm, we already exit the amusement park"

"owh, should we have dinner before you go back?"

"sure, the same café?"

"which?"

"we went there this morning to have brunch, you forgot?"

"oh, that café...?" Jeongyeon whisper to the phone, "Is it because of Nayeon? how do you know her tho?"

"yes, umm it's complicated"

Sana already glaring at Jeong, "afraid me knowing, huh?"

Jeongyeon ruffles Sana's hair, "Hahah, i will explain to you later, okay? it's not really important tho, you don't know this person"

Sana easily gave up, "kay, kay, continue your call"

Jeong smiled at her before talking to the phone, "Is Mina with you?"

"yes, we're going to that café now"

"Alright, see you there"

"see ya"

Jeong hung up and immediately laced her fingers with Sana's. "Come on, I'm starving."

"Where are we going?" Sana giggled, entwining her hand with Jeong's.

"Dinner, of course. Or... do you want another Ferris wheel ride?" Jeong teased.

Sana hit her stomach. "Enough..." She tried to hold back a smile, but her reddening cheeks betrayed her.

"Wuooo, someone's blushing!! HAHAHA." Jeong poked her cheek.

"Jeongyeon-ssi!" Sana smacked her repeatedly until—accidentally—her hand landed right where Jeong's plaster was.

"Aw!" Jeong flinched.

"Sorry, SORRY!!" Sana panicked. "Does it still hurt?"

"Ohooo, what should I do~? If I say yes, will you pat it and comfort me?" Jeong pouted dramatically.

Sana flustered. "Wouldn't it get worse if I pat it!?"

"That... makes sense, ㅋㅋㅋ." Jeong laughed.

"Tch, you keep punching people left and right, then getting yourself injured..." Sana scoffed.

"Those brats deserved it! Wait—are you actually caring about me now?" Jeong smirked.

"I-I just—! When you get hurt, I get hurt too! More importantly, I don't want you to get hurt!"

Copying my words, huh? ㅋㅋㅋ. Jeong grinned. "Okay, okay. We're here. If we keep bickering, we'll miss dinner."

Sana rolled her eyes, poker-faced, and entered the café.

[ café ]

They joined Tzuyu and Mina at the same table, same seats as before.

Nayeon noticed them and nervously approached. "M-May I take your order?"

After they ordered, Tzuyu casually asked her, "When's closing time?"

"The café closes at 9:30 PM," Nayeon said timidly.

"Okay, thanks"

As Nayeon walked away, Jeong's eyes lingered on her—a silent signal. Nayeon knew exactly what it meant. Their earlier conversation left Jeongyeon confused, and now answers were demanded.

[ Eating ]

"Something is bugging me," Sana spoke up. "Am I the only one who doesn't know that waitress?"

The table went silent.

Tzuyu finally answered. "You don't know? She was your classmate."

"Really? Owh, sorry... I don't really know the people in my class, hehe~ ( ' ▽ ' )ノ"

"She sat beside me though. How come you don't know?" Jeong asked while chewing.

"Because my eyes are on you 24/7." Sana winked.

"...Oops." Jeong nearly choked and tried to ignore her, focusing on eating.

Sanake is back.

"Tss. Okay, fine. At least now I know she's our classmate," Sana said, returning to her food.

.

.

[ After Meal ]

Jeong glanced at Tzuyu. "Can you both head back first? Me and Tzuyu are going to stay here for a while."

"Okay," Mina replied calmly. She already knew—it was about Nayeon.

Without me?? Sana blinked. "What? The café is closing really soon."

"We've got something important to talk about. Can you go first?" Jeong's tone grew serious.

Sana's chest tightened. "Important, huh?" She emphasized the word and stood up abruptly. "Let's go, Mina."

She walked out before Jeong could say anything else.

"...Oops. Am I doomed? (゜-゜)" Jeong muttered.

Tzuyu chuckled. "Hahaha. Just explain later. She'll understand."

"Okay... (゜-゜)" Jeong sighed.

.

.

[ On the way back ]

Sana sulked, cheeks puffed as she walked beside Mina.

Mina glanced at her, thinking of how to cheer her up. Mind blank...

Sana frowned. "Since you know who that girl is, do you know what their 'important' talk is about?"

"I don't know if I should be the one to tell you," Mina hesitated.

"At least the main point," Sana pressed.

"...I saw Tzuyu and Nayeon's red string in the same spot."

"Wow...?" (•ิ_•ิ)

"—And for Jeongyeon, Nayeon lied to her."

"Ohh... no wonder." Sana mumbled, her frown softening.

Mina exhaled in relief. Am I... helping?

.

.

[ Café ]

The café eventually closed, and Jeongyeon and Tzuyu stayed behind, waiting outside.

Waiting for the girl.

The talk they both knew had to happen.
