CHAPTER 24

"Kattie bring your lazy ass down here now" Nick yelled from downstairs

"Everything is pack. I'm not leaving anything. I can go now" I said checking my luggage to the hundredth time to myself

I walk downstairs into living room with my luggage where my brother and all friends are already there with their bags

"Finally Ms. Lazy is here" Rose said and I roll my eyes at her

"Driver is waiting so, hurry up guys" Mrs. Berry smile at us 

"I will miss you all. Hope you all will visit soon" she said with tears while hugging us one by one

"Hmm. Mrs. Berry this is for you" I hand her small square box

"No I can't accept it" she shakes her hand

"It's a thank you gift for taking care of us" I forcefully hand her before she protest

"Thank you. I was just doing my duty you don't have to do this" she said with smile while hugging me for the last time and walk outside with us

"David this is for you" I said handing him a bag

He shook his "No Miss I can't" he said

"David it's an order. Take it" I said with serious tone

He hesitates first then stares at my serious face and finally accepts it "Thank you Miss."

"For the last time David don't call me Miss. I'm fine by Kat"

"Okay....... Kat" I smile at him

"Everybody is ready so let's go" Carson said

We thank Mrs. Berry for the last time and we take our seats in car

Flight attendants welcome us and we sat in our seats. I want a window seat as always but this time I'm out of my luck so here I'm sitting between the person who is slowly becoming my best friend aka Carson- the stupid and fun guy and the other person for which I started falling for aka Ryan- the player and jerk

And you know what's the worst thing is. His friends decline my offer. All I want to change my seat and they said I quote 'Kat you can't change something's in your life. You can't control your feeling and you can't control for whom you fall' which really confuse me because I only said do you want to change seats with me? They should have said no but god knows what they were thinking

People say we can't control our feeling, we don't have control on them, we can't predict for whom we started falling, it's somehow called faith, destiny or whatsoever which you want to say and I really don't like it. I mean in the world universe I have to fall for bad boy. Are you kidding me right? God has weird plans right

So I decided to ignore them, I put my earphone on and started listening music which will help me to survive whole flight. I close my eyes enjoying my favorite songs

"What the heck Carson?" I hiss angrily to him

He shrug "I was bored so I thought why not let's talk" he said scratching his back of the neck

I raise my eyebrow "And about what?" I ask

"Random thing" he said

I shake my head and turn my head towards window seat which is now taken by non-other than Rose

"What are you doing here?" I ask her

"Sitting in plane to go back home" she said and shrug

"I mean why are you sitting here?" I said

"Oh that" she tries to pretend like she don't know anything

"Yeah that" I roll my eyes at her

"Ryan wanted to talk with Jan so we switch seats" she said casually

I sigh and turn towards Carson who is listening our whole conversation with interest

"Okay" I said

"Great" he said happily

I was waiting for him start while he was staring at me like he is debating with himself that he should ask me or not. And that silence is killing me trust me man. To break it I clear my throat and Carson break eye contact with me for nanoseconds again turning towards me to look at me and next thing he said really shock me.

"Kat....... you are different from other girls whom I have met till now. You try to showthat it's not bothers you. You always show blank emotions which really I hatethe much. Everybody have shits in their own life but we try to solve them andrunning away from all this is not a great thing which you are doing" he pauses to see my reaction. I don't know what to say so I remain silent which make him to go further

"I know something have really happened in the past which makes you to change your whole character and deep down you know that you are hurting yourself which is not good for your health. I'm not going to force you to say the things which hurts you and If you don't want to talk about it with me then it's okay, I really understands but sometimes it's best to low your guard down and talk with your love ones or even strangers if it's makes you happy. I can't imagine what you have gone through but I'm here as your friend. I will never leave your side and not allow any asshole to hurt you" he finishes and waits for me to say something

I was really shock at the moment. I don't have any words to say. I don't believe guy like him can say those words which is never said to me before with full of meanings. I close my eyes to steady from breath

I hug him tightly which make him tense at first then he relax and return my hug with tight squeeze on my shoulders

"Thank you Carson" I whisper in his ears and pull away from him with small smile on my face

"It's the first time when someone really meant it" I said

"You know na where to find me" he jokes

I nod my head while laughing with him

After all he is not same as people thought he is

"So best friends" he said and oferrs me his hand to shake it

"Best friends" I said while shaking his hand
