CHAPTER 27

"Have a dance with me" Ryan ask me while holding his hand out for me. I take his hand and he led us to dance floor. I place my one hand on his shoulder and other hand he holds it tightly.

I close my eyes enjoying the music and dance when a voice interrupts me

"Having fun with me" he said with a smirk

"Very much" I said truthfully. His smirk drop for a second but he quickly recovers it with a breath taking smile.

"Glad to know that" he said with a real smile

He spins me and places his arms on my waist and pulls me towards his strong chest like wall taking me by surprise.

"Am I making you uncomfortable Kitten" he whisper in my ear which make me shiver at his touch of breath and I shake my head before I can answer a voice cut me off

"Can I have a dance with my Baby girl?" Nick asks me standing behind Ryan

"Of course Nicky" I said

"She is all yours man" Ryan said and places a kiss on my cheek and takes a step back giving space to Nick so he can step in

"I thought I would not get a privilege to dance with my Nicky today" I said jokingly

"How can I give up on that opportunity" he said with a lopsided smile and making me rolls my eyes at him.

All sudden his playfulness drop when he stare at my back, I know at whom he is staring but I don't have courage to turn and confirm that "Kattie did you meet him?" he ask seriously

"Not yet" I whisper not really want to talk about him

"Sooner or later you have to face him. You can't avoid him for that long" he said with sympathy in his eyes

"I know Nicky but I don't want to do that" I said honestly

"We all are here for you. You are not alone in this time" he said softly and I can tell he means every single word. I kept quiet don't want to talk with him further on this topic

"Nick can I have this dance with my daughter?" Uncle ask him

"Sure Dad" he said and takes a step back

"So how is in Florida going?" he ask

"Good" I said smiling

"Are you happy there" he stares at me

"Very much. I feel again myself there, there are my friends who love me a lot and there's my job where I love to work"

"What about us, your company and your everything is here. How can you leave all this here" he stop dancing and waits for my answer

I sigh "Uncle you know he don't give dam about me and after all he is capable enough to lead this company by his own. Excuse me I think I need to grab a drink for me" I said and walks back to bar and sit on bar stool. I order one more samedrink for me and take a long sip from it.

"May i have all your attention please" My uncle said holding a mike grabbing everyone's attention 

"Thank you for coming and making this birthday party so special for my loving daughter Kataline. She returned today after 3 years from Florida and we are hoping to spend more times with her. We really appreciate your kind gesture and giving blessingsto her which we are really glad." he pause and smile at me 

"My speech is not over yet as I have one important announcement to make. My elder son Kyle Mathew Rivers" he gesture towards him "is not a bachelor anymore. Yes you all guess right he is engaged now which is really surprising for all of us. We never thought of him to settle down in one place with one person but then again he proves us all wrong. Soon he is going to marry this beautiful young lady Kendra Ray Wilson" he motions towards her "So you can say that it's a double celebration party today" he chuckle "You all are invited to attend this wedding which is going to held after three days" he said 

"To Kyle and Kendra for their new life" he toast and take a sip from his glass. Everyone raise their glass and take a sip from it.

"Great just great. What left next? That's why I hate surprises" I said looking up "God I just hate being here, why I decided to come here" with that I put myhead on table to calm my nerves

"Aren't you going to congratulate your brother?" a voice interrupts me from behind

I take a sip from my drink and sallow hard and turn around to face non-other than Kylie Mathew Rivers my so called blood related elder brother and his finance Kendra Ray Wilson who is smiling at me like I'm her long lost friend

"Yeah congratulations to both of you" I give them my fake smile, he smile in return with a knowing lookon his face but Kendra has other plans as she launch herself at me in a tight hug

I pull back from her "I'm sorry. I got excited by seeing you. You know Kylie has told me so much about you so it's like I have known you from very long time. You know what, you look more beautiful in person" she said happily

"Thank you, I should have said the same thing for you but I can't say that to you because it's the first time I hear about you" I said glancing towards him. I can see the guilt forming in his eyes but this time I don't want to care about him.

"Oh I guess it's okay. We have three days to bond before wedding" she said

"Yeah right three days but I'm really sorry Iwon't be present at that time there because you know I have some important stuffand all back in my home in Florida. Just excuse me I think someone is calling me" I said without looking in his direction and walk as fast as I could outside

I sat down on grass, cross my leg then lean down and close my eyes enjoying the wind. Finally it's calming my anger down

"What are you doing here" a voice interrupts my peace and I know whose voice is this, without opening them I answer his question

"Party was getting boring so I decided to to ditch it for sometime and came outside to take some fresh air" I said without thinking

He chuckle at my response and I know he has seen the whole thing inside and I'm glad he didn't mention about that

"Come" he said

I open my eyes in confusion and stare at his outstretch hand and raise my oneeyebrow at him "Where?" i ask him grabbing his hand. He quickly pulls me on my feet

"You will see" he replies and takes me to his car and open door for me to get inside

I slip inside and he close the door and quickly he jump in driver's seat and start the ignition and started driving.
