A love like his is sweet, caring,
it wraps you up in blankets
and covers you with kisses.
A love like his is attentive,
it takes notes and asks questions,
figures out how your brain is wired
and helps you understand you.
A love like his is, despite all it knows about you, a hopeless romantic,
it thinks your every word is words of poetry.
It turns your tears into songs
and sings them back to you.
A love like his tries so hard
and goes so far
just to see you smile.
It even paints every wall of your house in the colour of your eyes, your lips, your freckles, your hair,
it turns every piece of you into art
so that one day you will see just how beautiful you are.
A love like his shows you that you are worthy- not only of his love, but of all the love in the whole wide world.
