Midnight

I was so hungry that I kept tossing around in my sleep. I was so tired after the journey that I couldn't wait for dinner. I just showered and said my prayers then went straight to bed.
  Well done Zahra because of your stupidity now you have to sneak out to look for food, I mentally face palmed and scolded myself for skipping dinner.

What should I do now? Gosh am so hungry. I have no option left other than go downstairs and check the dinning for leftovers. I wore my hijab and walked out. On my way out of the room, I bumped into a small refrigerator and I happily opened it hoping to find food but all I saw was soft drinks and a leftover shawarma.

I didn't want to wake anybody up so I didn't switch on the lights I used my phone's flashlight.
I went to the dinning and saw the
Table empty. I walked to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator and immediately my eyes saw a container with Masa in it along with a bottle of coke, I didn't hesitate to carry it because firstly am hungry and secondly I can never resist Masa and coke. They were one of my weakness 😂.

I warmed up the Masa and sat down on the floor with my food including the kuli kuli powder I found on the shelf in the kitchen. I was eating and mentally scolding myself when I saw someone standing by the kitchen door.
"Weldone Zahra! Such a foodie. Did you have to come out to eat this night? Why did you even sit here to eat? You should have gone back to the room. Wow mum is gonna be so proud of you🙄. Now you're caught on your first night of being a visitor sneaking into the kitchen and eating at 2am in the morning." I was mentally scolding myself when I heard him speak.
  " Ehmm what are you doing?" He asked scratching the back of his head.

"As if he's blind that he can't see I am eating 😒. I muttered before answering " I couldn't sleep cos am hungry I missed dinner that's why I came here to eat" I said feeling embarrassed.
  "Oh... okay I also missed dinner so I came to get a snack am sorry for intruding. I can see I made you a bit uncomfortable and don't be embarrassed 😉" he said almost laughing.

He opened the refrigerator and immediately turned to look at me wanting to say something but couldn't so I ignored him.
" Please can I have some of the Masa? He asked politely
"Yeah sure" I said and stood up to get some for him.
I was gonna warm up the soup for him when he finally spoke" don't warm it I prefer the kuli kuli powder" he said while grabbing a bottle of coke from the refrigerator.
He took the plate from me and surprisingly he sat down on the floor also.
"Seriously this guy is gonna make me choke. Why does he have to eat here and even sit opposite me??" I thought finishing up my coke. I stood up and washed my plate I was about to leave when I heard him say that "If you don't mind, can you stay back for some time?". I nodded and sat down on a stool surprised.
"So... You eat even in the night 😂" he asked. " Sometimes especially when I missed dinner" I answered.

"So you like Masa alot?" He asked.
"Is this guy a questionnaire or what? I thought.
"I can see you are also a fan of coke 😉? He asked. Coke is a sweetheart ai and I just can't resist taking it I said and chuckled.

I think we will be able to get along pretty well right?" He said and I nodded.

"First love said we're going shopping tomorrow so get ready by 12pm okay?" He said and I nodded. "Go and sleep now goodnight he said smiling".

"Good night" I whispered and rushed back to the room smiling.
I lay down next to Mamu and drifted off to my dream Land.
