Ok, so I recently discovered that Celeborn, and Elrond are related. Also, Celeborn and Galadriel are cousins too:

And then Galadriel and Elrond are related to each other in so many different ways it's insane. And it's not just because they're both descendants of Finwe.
But I'm not here to talk about that, I'm here to talk about how Celeborn is Elrond's great great uncle.

As I was doing some research into this topic, I found out that it's frowned upon to marry your cousin (Maeglin anybody?), but apparently it's ok if you were separated from said cousin. And in my observations, and least once or twice removed for good measure.
And let's not forget that Aragorn II is a direct descendant of Elros, Elrond's twin brother. So that technically makes Aragorn and Arwen first cousins, just a bazillion times removed.
What is it with this family and marrying cousins? Because this is happening so many times that it's getting a little weird...
