Daki speed walked her way to the coffee shop at the mall, already running two minutes late. Her professor had kept her last class in a little longer than usual, much to her dismay.
She saw a single figure waiting by the coffee shop, and she figured it was you. You were turned around, not facing her, so all Daki got a view of was your back.
Her heels were loud against the white tiles of the mall's floor, causing you to turn around at the sound of them.
She looked at you, and—

"Hey, are you Daki?" you called to her with a smile.

"I am!" she confirmed, but her voice cracked awkwardly.
