It had been a week since Renjun twisted his ankle, it had been a week since Jeno helped him, it had been a week since Mark had met Jeno, it had been a week since Renjun realized
'Mark just sees me as a friend, nothing more'
Though he hoped Mark felt the same towards him, but when he saw how Marks eyes lit up when Jeno joined them for lunch, or how, Mark, for the first time in their 7 years of friendship didn't come to pick Renjun up this morning, instead he went to Jeno's dorm.
Betrayal?
is that what Renjun felt?
Neglection maybe?
or was it pure jealousy?
Maybe he was just overreacting, its not like Mark needs to pick Renjun up every morning, but then again Mark really has never missed a day, and if he did he would tell Renjun beforehand, which is why Renjun couldn't help but feel dejected.
"Renjun!"
A loud voice made Renjun tear his gaze away from Mark and Jeno who were laughing at something that seemed way more important than how Renjun was feeling right now
"What?"
Renjun said looking at the owner of the voice
"Your starting at them like your gonna kill them"
the latter said playfully, to which Renjun gave an unimpressed look, before grabbing his booking and hitting the boy on his shoulder
"Haechan, for the love of God, shut the fuck up"
Haechan, another friend of Renjun, to say, both of them don't even know how they became friends, even people around them didn't, yes they both were sassy, but they differed so much more. Another difference that Renjun noticed? Haechan could actually stand up for himself and talk back to people who tried bringing him down, he doesn't let anything get to him, and not only that but Renjun is the only one who's seen Haechan cry, that's probably why they're pretty close... makes sense?
"ok but seriously, did you tell Mark how you feel?"
Haechan said, his smile long gone, Renjun sighed and tilted his head upwards looking at the sky (they're sitting outside btw TT)
"Does it look like I did? plus what's the point, it's too late"
he said gesturing at Mark and Jeno who were whispering to each other
"It's never too late my friend"
Renjun sadly chuckled
"Have you ever seen Mark look at me like that? *points at Mark*, it's fucking 1 in the afternoon yet his eyes hold stars for Jeno"
he said in defeat
"Damn who hurt you man"
they both softly chuckled
"Love did"
here we all could use haechan to brigten our lame ass day up
