call out my name

you sat in your room editing a video you've just finished making, groaning since you just got started and you were already bored

after an hour or so of editing, you called it quits and tossed yourself on your bed

seconds later a knock was heard on your door

"may i come in?" it was toby

you let out a muffled "yes!" while you laid your head on your blanket. she walked in and shut the door behind her "did you hear what's going on?" you shook your head and got up interested in what she was going to tell you

she seemed worried and hesitant but she talked, "fitz, he's going to be on love or host..."

not knowing if she was joking or not you pulled out your phone to go on austin's twitter to see if it was true and to your surprise it was

"what the fuck" you let out

toby sat next to you "did you guys stop talking or something? he told me he planned on asking you to be his girlfriend soon." you shook your head and sat on your bed confused about what was going on

not thinking you called him while toby sat there and listened. he picked up after a few seconds and was the first to speak

"hey baby!" he greeted

"hey, uhh..." you paused, not knowing what to say you stared at toby and she mouthed "ask him about the show!" you gave her a thumbs up and proceeded

you took a deep breath "what's up about this show you're going to be on... love or host, what's that all about?" it took a second to get an answer out of him but he answered, "i scheduled the show with austin a long time ago and it's my turn to do it... i can't just leave him without anybody to film with."

not knowing what to say you decided to stay silent and it soon became awkward

"okay..." you tell him

he sighs "i'm not going to pick anyone and if i do i'm not going to entertain it. i like you and you only, nobody else."

toby rolled her eyes at his words and laid down on your bed "okay." you reply

you hung up without giving him an opportunity to say anything else, you didn't believe his words. you know you're supposed to trust the people you love but you didn't have faith in fitz, at least not in this current circumstance.

"what're you gonna do?" she asked as you laid next to her.

you shrugged in response "well, i guess we're going to have to watch it to see if he's being sincere." she suggested

you sat in the back porch staring at the sky while you remembered the day you lost fitz for a girl from a stupid dating show who had a larger following than you

fans tried helping you feel better by saying that he was only with her to gain more popularity

you wish you could think that were true but you couldn't bear thinking that then see pictures or videos of him and his girlfriend kissing and being happy together.

it hurts you a lot and he knew that.

you shut your eyes and sighed. coming to the patio was something you began to do a lot whenever you wanted to clear your thoughts, it didn't help much but you enjoyed the fresh air.

he did exactly what he said he wouldn't do, pick someone, entertain it, and let it become something more.

a hand crept on your back causing your eyes to shoot open and your body to jump up "oh sorry, i didn't mean to scare you." you heard masons thick accent

"you doing okay?" he questioned, even though everyone in the house knew that you'd come outside just to always end up thinking about him no matter how hard you tried not to

"i'm fine..." you tell him and lay your head on his shoulder only for tears fall down your face

he moved your head to face him and with his thumb softly wiped your tears away and he continued to do so no matter how many fell "i know you're still sad
y/n" he frowned

"i'm sure the whole world still knows" you cry through your words and take a deep breath as it became harder to breathe

masons expression changed to concern when he noticed your breathing became different

"i'm going to get you some water, i'll be right back," he tells you, you watch as he quickly made his way into the house to go to the kitchen

when he was gone you focused your eyes on the sunset

everyone tweeted at you asking if you knew what was happening and if you were okay that day

you were angry and tweeted out something petty that you now wish you didn't. you took a break from posting and being on social media because you couldn't handle everyone bothering you

once you came back you blocked his name from being on your stream and discord

you were crushed.

you thought your life was finally turning out for the better when cam came into it. you helped each other emotionally, giving each other comfort and love whenever it was needed.

you claimed each other proudly, maybe you claimed him more than he did you as things turned out.

holding and helping each other closely whenever times got rough

falling for him was your mistake.

holding back tears you mumbled to yourself "why couldn't he just have waited until i fell out of love"

the patio doors made a loud noise as they were dragged open, you turned to see mason with the water he said he'd bring you

you smiled as he got closer to you "here you go and..." he handed you the water and stopped to dig for something in his pocket "this is also for you." he brought you your favorite candy

you gave him a side hug, ripped the candy open, and shared it with him

with a mouth full of candy mason said "i know this won't make the sadness go away but i wanted to make you feel a little better."

you poked him on his side and replied "thank you, you're doing great."
