Welcome to my very first tutorial! Before we proceed, I'd like everyone to know that I suck at explanation, so if you don't understand something, DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK.

If you want a specific tutorial on a specific kind of cover, head on the the "forms" chapter and fill out the necessary form.

Now, let the tutorial begin!

1. Set a canvas of 512 x 800. Paint it with the background colour. For this cover, I chose plain black.

2. Write down you title and place it in the middle of the canvas. Adjust the size as you wish too.

I also added a lens flare to make it shine and stand out

I also added a lens flare to make it shine and stand out. You can get a lens flare from google or even picsart. The one I used is from PicsArt. Once you add the lens, if you wish to, you can bevel the text. Golden stands out when you bevel it.

3. Now, once the title is written and decorated, you move on to the swirls. To get them, you can type in "swirl pngs" or "swirly borders" from Pinterest, Google or PicArt. I again got mine form PicsArt. They are much more easy and comfortable to use, but the options are limited. Choose three- four different swirls.

4. Now, add the swirls in a new layer to only ONE side of the canvas. You can change the colour of the swirls from "filter." Choose a desired colour. The colour scheme for the cover was golden and green. So, I made the text golden and decided to make the swirls in green.

5. After placing your swirls, duplicate the layer and flip them.
Once you flip them, you will get the exact mirror image on the other side of the canvas.

• We completed the main part of the cover!! The above step is the most important and the trickiest step while making the swirly typographical cover as you have to decide the kinds of swirls you want to use and the placement of where you want to keep them. Once you are done with that, you can proceed onto the next part.

6. This part is the most fun part! You have to not decide additional decorations. It can be any object, png, vector. ANYTHING pertaining to the plot of the story. Now, since the cover I mads was not a novel but a graphic contest, it had a lot of space to use anything and everything I wanted.

So, I changed the brush to blue circle out and put two huge circles in the middle corners of the canvas follow by a sparkle brush and added ransoms sparkles throughout the cover.

7. Now, all is left to add the author's name and since the cover was already full, I dropped the idea of using my logo and just added my name.
