Lev sighed as he put down his phone. Being left on read by Yaku didn't bring up good memories and even though he tried so hard to convince himself nothing would happen again, a small voice in his head kept telling him things were bound to go wrong.
"Stop that, you know you can trust him. He'd never hurt you..." Lev tried so desperately to tell himself, only for the inner voice to fight against him again.
"But he's done it before, what if he does it again?"
"He wouldn't..."
Lucky for him, a chime from his phone before Lev could get too involved with his internal argument, pushing his thoughts away to check what he had missed. Picking up his phone, a smile unconsciously made its way across his face as he clicked on to the chat to respond to his one and only.
