thirty nine

"Thanks for taking me out Jo, its been awhile since I've done that." I say as i put my bike in the back of my truck and jonah puts his in his garage.

"No problem Nugget, I'd do anything for the girl I love." He respond

As much As i love Jonah and his cheesy moments, he knows how much they make me cringe but also blush at the same time. He always tells me it's one of the many things he loves about me. How I get awkward when anyone complements me. Even in the slightest ways.

"Love you too Jo." I respond

"So do your parents know?" He asks, referring to my pregnancy

"Not yet, although I did throw up four times this morning." I say "and when I was handed a plate of chocolate chip pancakes, I started gaging."

"But you've never turned down chocolate chip pancakes in your life!" He says

"I know! First peanutbutter toast and now chocolate chip pancakes. My parent's have to suspect something by now." I laugh

"Well I was kind of thinking, since were both together and my whole families home..." Jonah starts

"you want to tell them now?" I ask

"If that okay." He says

"Of course yeah, sooner the better." I smile, then mumble to myself "god I hope they don't hate me."

"you know my family loves you Hay, right?" Jo says looking at me smiling

"I know, there's just so many things racing through my head. so many what ifs. you know?"

"I know. But hear me out, my mom's been asking me when were gonna settle down and have a family quite often for the last year. I think we'll be fine. You'll be fine." He reassures me

"I guess, but people usually get married before they have a kid, we're not! I mean to me that doesn't make a difference, but to our families it might. You live in L.A and I live on an island in Hawaii, and our families live all the way in Minnesota..."

"Hayden. We'll be fine. let's stop rambling and go tell them." He says

"Okay." I say looking down

"let's just tell my parents first and then we can add in my sisters and call Zeb later," Jonah says closing the door behind him

"your home!" carrie says brightening the room with her smile

"we haven't even been gone that long." jonah laughs

"i know. it's just not everyday i get to see you two. especially at the same time." she says

"actually," i begin looking up at jonah, he nods "since we are here at the same time, we actually were hoping we could gather everyone and share something exciting with you all."

"if this is what i think it is, we need to get everybody down here right now!" carrie says spinning in a circle before calling everyone into the living room

"i think she knows." jonah whispers to me

"i think so too. she seems so happy." i smile

"okay. i got them all, now you can tell us your big news." carrie says sitting on the couch next to esther

"well we didn't really plan a way to share this but um..." jonah starts

"wait! are you having a baby!?" were the words that slipped out of sveas mouth

I smile and nod looking at jonah as the room errupts with excitement, smiles, and even a few tears.

within seconds carrie pulls me into a hug whispering into my ear "there is no other person who I want to bring Jonah's children and my grandchildren into this world then you."

"stop it. you're gonna make me cry" i say having to wipe my eye "I'm emotionally stable enough for this!"

"we need to celebrate!" Tim says cheering

Later that night, after we facetimed Zeb and told him the news the six of us found ourselves sitting in our favorite local Chinese food place just outside of town.

"i love you so much nugget." jonah whispers to me in between conversation

"i love you too jo."
