"Hey, Tohru-nee-sama, it's time to wake up!" you said softly, as you crawled out of your tent. "Ok N/n," the brunette said with her usual huge smile. After you paid respects to her treasured photo of Kyoko, you closed the tent behind you.

"Come on N/n, wouldn't it be nice to look around such a lovely place?" Tohru said, leading you by the hand.

"What if we get lost and are late for school?" you said, beginning to anxiously fiddle with a stray strand of your hair.

"It'll be fine, we'll be quick about it!" She replied with a smile.

Although you were against the idea at first, you quickly found yourself enjoying the walk. Holding Tohru's hand still, you crossed a small running crystal clear body of freshwater by walking over a sturdy log that acted as a bridge, carefully keeping balance. At the other end, you found yourself surrounded by grooves of high trees that formed a canopy of leaves allowing only stray rays of golden light through. You and Tohru found yourself near the edge of the hill you unknowingly walked up. From the raised terrain, you followed Tohru's gaze and noticed a fairly large and traditional house. You were rather surprised that you had never noticed it before. Still being led by Tohru, you found yourself begrudgingly walking towards the house.

"Oh come on, N/n it'll be fun!!" she said smiling.

"We don't know who could be living there," you warned to no avail.

"It'll be fine, you worry too much!" she said, to this you could do nothing but sigh exasperatedly and continue to follow her lead.

On the porch of this house, there were zodiac figurines airing out. These colourful figurines caught Tohru's eyes straight away. As you two were gazing at them, a raven-haired young man walked onto the porch and cleared his throat, "I didn't expect to see such lovely young ladies here! " You were surprised at the sudden appearance of whom you believed to be the house's owner, but it didn't take long for you and Tohru to remember your manners. Bowing, she said, "we do apologise for trespassing, but we couldn't help but look at the figurines, you have laid out."
Although he dressed rather old-fashionedly in a yukata, he turned out to be a rather laid back person. He wasn't mad at all about the trespassing, instead, he invited you two to look at them as much as you liked and struck up a conversation," so what do you like about them so much?" he asked.

Tohru quickly replied, "well they're really cute!" with you nodding in agreement.

"But...it is a little disappointing that you don't have the cat," she continued.

Shigure laughed, "are you by chance referring to the old Chinese folktale?"

"Yes, that one, "she smiled in reply.

You couldn't help but giggle.

"What are you giggling at N/n?" Tohru said, and you replied, "I just remembered that when Kyoko-sama told you that folktale you cried your eyes out and vowed to 'no longer be a dog but instead a cat!' "

Tohru pouted, "well, of course, the poor cat."

To this Shigure burst out in laughter again and under his breath, he said, "I wonder what he'll think when he finds out that he has a fan." His comment was very odd indeed, and he was about to say something else when a school bag landed on his head with a loud thud.

"Please excuse my idiot of a cousin Ms Honda... and you are?" said the boy with silver hair which you recognised to be the school's prince; Yuki Sohma. "Ah excuse me, my name is F/n L/n, I'm also in your class," you replied, politely bowing. Yuki's cousin introduced himself as Shigure Sohma. "So what brought you to our house?" asked the prince. When Tohru replied that you both lived in the vicinity they looked at you two suspiciously. To avoid the awkwardness you two tried to leave but Yuki offered to walk with you since he was also on his way to school.
