"I'd say, this is a job well done." Graves snarled as he grabbed Louie by his hoodie and lifted him up. "The boss is very anxious to get the plan rolling. You, have set us back a couple of days, you runt." He told him.
"Not my fault you are a terrible bounty hunter." Louie snapped back.
Graves eyes glazed over at him as he glanced at Gosalyn and Webby.
"Better watch that mouth, or I'll have no choice but to bring your little friends along." Graves snarled at him.
"Well, just the one." Tarus snarled lifting Gosalyn up as well. "Got some unfinished business with this one."
"Those other two shouldn't be a bother from here on out." Graves added.
"W,What did you do to Lena and Violet?" Gosalyn demanded to know as she kicked her little legs and tried punching the bull in the face, but with little effort.
"Let's say, I doubt they'd be using any more hocus pocus for awhile." Grave told her.
Webby just stood there, she had gone quiet again, and Louie saw that she had that same look on her face when Dewey got captured. Not good. She had been spacing out a lot lately, ever since this morning...
Did Graves somehow triggered her fear again? Or was it because of what he said about Lena and Violet?
"Webby!' Louie shouted. "Get, get out of here!"
Webby blinked.
"L,Louie? W,what -?" She stammered, shaking herself out of her mental state. She looked at Tarus and Graves who was giving her the most darknest of looks, making her heart pound hard against her chest.
No,
She wasn't going to be scared again. She wasn't going to loose Louie too -.
She took a step towards them, ready to fight. To the death if necessary.
"No, Webby. Run!" Louie shouted again as if reading her mind. "Y, You have to warn the other's -." He stopped abruptly as the lungs in his chest stopped filling up with air. He looked towads Graves who had taken his other hand that was now around Louie's throat.
"I, I can't leave y -." Webby began, but stoppped when she saw the tears in Louie's eyes. His eyes darted back and forth from her to the Cloudslayer, pleading for her to run.
Webby felt her own eyes swell up with tears. She had a flashback of that morning. Seeing the same look on Dewey's face.
She couldn't move.
She couldn't speak.
"Webby. Please." Louie choked out. He gripped his hand at the barred window. "W,We'll figure something out." Louie told her. "Go, find Lena, and Violet, and warn the others!"
Webby shooked her head and took a step towards them.
"Webby!" Gosalyn said as Tarus and Garves turned to leave, Webby froze.
"I know how it feel to want to protect someone, but sometimes in order to protect them, you have to let them go! So, please, She paused as a van slowly pulled up out of nowhere and Tarus and Graves threw both her and Louie inside,
"GO!" She and Louie said at the same time as the door to the van slammed shut.
"Better listen to them, girlie." Graves snarled as he and Tarus rounded to the front of the van and Tarus started the engine. "We have no need of you, but we can if we want too." He told her as they pulled out of the driveway.
Webby's heart sank as she stared into Gosalyn and Louie's frightened faces Louie was gripping tightly to the barred window as he looked at her frantically as the van quickly sped out of the parking lot and disappear around the corner.
