Chapter 5: Interrogation. Sam

Interrogation

    Finally, after 6 days without food or water the general came for me. They lead me around blindfolded. When they took it off I was standing in a dark, gloomy room. The walls were gray, the ceiling was black, and the furniture was brown. The general was sitting in a chair on one side of a table.

"Sit." he said in a stern voice.

    Reluctantly, I did so. I looked at the tables, walls, ceiling, chairs, everything and anything but his cold gray eyes.

"Where is she?" he asked.

"I don't know." I said.

"Sam do you like to be alone?"

"No but-"

"So why don't you tell us where she is an you can be with your friends."

"I don't know where she is!!!" I yelled.

"Sam, it's not that hard. Just tell me where she is and I'll let you go back to your friends."

he said and looked down at my blood-soaked shirt, "We'll feed you, give you something to drink, and fix that wound if you just tell us where she is!!' he snapped.

"I really don't know."

"So she just vanished right? I'm suppose to believe that you don't know where she is? That's like saying she vanished into thin air!!!"

    If only he knew!! I really missed my friends and I'm really hungry. If I go one more day with this wound I would die.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!!!!" he yelled.

"She disappeared." I admitted.

"What?"

"She's gone."

"Where?" he asked.

"I don't know. She just disappeared."

"How?"

"On her birthday demon parents made her disappear."

"Why?"

"Because she thought it was her fault our parents are dead when in actuality its your fault!!" I exploded.

"Do you really expect me to believe this?!?!??!" he asked.

"It's true though!!! I don't know where she went but I know how she disappeared."

    He stared at me. He might've been deciding whether or not to believe me. I pushed into his mind and gave him the image of my sister disappearing. I slipped out and he blinked.

"Put him with his friends. Give him cheese, bread, and water. Fix his wound too." he said.

"Yes sir." Brenda said coming in.

    She took me out and gave me a sympathetic look. She took me to the infirmary and fixed my stomach. The whole time she looked at me with sympathetic eyes. Then she gave me a slice of bread, 2 slices of cheese, and half a glass of water. I gorged it down in 3 seconds. She looked at me with sad eyes. Finally, she took me to my friends. I ran to them and cried into Mike's shoulder. He gave me a hug and stroked my head, like a father would do to a son. Daniel, Lona, and Layloni hugged me too and all I could do was cry for everything I lost.

"It's okay. Shhhhh.........." Mike said.

"How did you convince him to let you in?" Layloni asked.

"I told him Samantha disappeared. When he didn't believe me I showed him."

"I'm so sorry. You shouldn't have had to show him." Lona said.

"I want her back." I said sadly.

"She's in the Guilt World. Sam I'm really sorry. If I would've used my energy I could've saved her." Daniel said.

    I looked at him. He was trying to help but still.

"We'll find a way to get her back but I'm tired." I said and climbed in bed.
