Chapter 6: Ambush & Awestruck

3rd Person POV

Y/N standing still even with what he is witnessing right now, hundreds of Grimm running towards him and still having a smirk on his face. He decides to move slowly towards them while whispering to himself

Y/N: Live and Die, by the blade.

He jumps in the strikes the giant flying Grimm with his blade and lands it on the ground causing the Grimm to back away and formed a circle to surround him. As Y/N removed his blade from the Grimm's head, the other Grimm charged at him once again and this made Y/N unleash a trick that slowed everything down in the area and once the effect was finished, large dusk of wind was struck to all the Grimm as he proceeds to strike each wave of Grimm.

At Beacon Academy

Everyone was awestruck by what they just witnessed on screen. The only thing that they were currently seeing was dusks of wind surrounding the action that Y/N was doing now. Since many of the students were curious about what was happening, they decided to leave the campus and head to Beacon Cliff in order to witness the action

Yang POV

Once I arrived at the part of the forest where Y/N was located, I was surprised by what I'm seeing. Dusk of wind surrounding the area which I'm unable to see what's happening to Y/N specifically. I tried to go near the dusk storm but once I was already near, the barrier of wind suddenly collapsed revealing Y/N with not a single scratch on him and he looks totally relaxed with the number of foes he just faced. He really is something isn't he.

Y/N: Yang? What are you doing here?

Yang: I umm... I thought you were in trouble?

Y/N: Ohhh well... I kinda was at first but yeah, all good here.

Yang: But how... there were hundreds of Grimm and some of them were even the Alpha ones. How did you sur-

Y/N: Honestly, I don't know. I just swinged from all angles until every Grimm in sight was slain. But hey, thanks for coming by.

Y/N moved towards me & gave me a pat on the top of my head and had this really big smile on his face. I just smiled along with him knowing that he was okay regardless of what just happened.

3rd Person POV

As Y/N and Yang were talking, a ship arrived to pick up both of them and in it was Professor Ozpin and Goodwitch.

Both of them headed inside the ship and Y/N laid back instantly once he set foot on the ship

Ozpin: I must say, I never expected that kind of ambush would occur, and the same goes for what you just did to those Grimm.

Y/N: Well I just got lucky professor.

Goodwitch: Are you hiding somethi-

Y/N: No. If I was I would be terrible at it.

Y/N decided to not tell the professors that he doesn't have a single idea as well on how he was able to kill hundreds of Grimm in a blink.

Goodwitch: Whatever you say young man, be cautious next time.

Yang was just listening as the three conversed on what just happened but she was still mesmerized by what she just witnessed before the barrier of wind revealed Y/N.

Y/N: Yang? You alright?

Yang: Huh? Oh sorry... was just lost in thought..... that's all.

Y/N stood up and took a seat beside Yang and planned to stay there until they reach Beacon.

Timeskip

The ship has landed at Beacon and as they stepped out, a man was waiting for their arrival

??: Ozpin, care to explain who this young man is?

Ozpin: He is a new student who just finished his initiation, is there anything more to ask?

Y/N: Excuse me but, who are you?

Ozpin: This man Y/N, is General James Ironwood. General of the Atlesian Military and the Headmaster of Atlas Academy.

Y/N: Nice to meet you sir

Y/N then extends his hand to order a handshake. General Ironwood accepts this but then comments on Y/N's actions

Ironwood: I just wanna say, I got my eye on you. What you did back in Emerald forest may be outstanding but I still don't trust you with the kind of destruction you can bring.

Y/N: Yeah, I'll keep that in mind General.

Y/N wasn't fazed by his presence so he just looked him straight in the eye still after being threatened. General Ironwood was frustrated and now leaves with Goodwitch by his side

Ozpin: My Apologies Y/N. Now, Congratulations on finding the piece, and now you've passed the initiation. I now declare you as a solo team since you have the skills to be qualified as one.

Y/N: Thank you, Professor Ozpin.

Ozpin: Your room can be located just beside team RWBY's room, enjoy your stay in Beacon academy Y/N.

Ozpin now leaves the two as he heads back to his office and Y/N and Yang now walk back together going to the dormitory.

Timeskip

Yang: Soooooooo Y/N let's check your room out.

The two then proceeded inside and Yang is impressed with the room that was given to him but Y/N wasn't that surprised.

Yang: Dang you have such a big room all to yourself.

Y/N: It's just the same size as your room you know, but yeah the difference is I'm alone here

Yang: Don't worry Y/N, my team and I are always in the other room if you need company.

Hearing that from Yang, Y/N remembered what his master said. He realized that this was something that he needed in his life, people to be with and that he can trust.

Y/N: Thanks, Yang. For... Everything for so far, like the escape we did in that forest before, the room you offered me, and also for being concerned about what happened earlier in the initiation. I promise I'll repay you someday with the kindness you've shown me.

Yang shocked by the long comment he gave, she just smiled at Y/N's response and is about to leave the room

Y/N: And Yang, one more thing.

Yang turns around was surprised and flustered at what just happened next. Y/N hugs her out of nowhere and she returned the hug back as well

Y/N: Good night Yang. See you guys tomorrow in class.

Yang then leaves Y/N's room. She leans on the door of the room and touchers her chest while feeling flustered

Yang: Didn't know that... He could be like that as well...
