i thought it was over when i heard the beeps. they're not next to me but i know they're there. looking up, i see a thin line of light shining in the dark surroundings. i walk towards it, but it's like i'm not even getting an inch closer. then, i heard a 'sorry' and started to panic. if i could just reach that light, i would have another chance of living longer. so i run for my life, literally, and this time, i'm getting closer, but slowly. then i heard an 'it's a small chance that he's gonna make it'. yeah, very small if i'm going this slowly. and then a 'please, just keep him there a little longer, and i'm sure he'll be fine', that gave me a feeling of hope and made me run faster than i already was, if that even was possible. but the beeping just became louder and louder, i could go deaf. and when i finally reached the, what looked like to be a, door, i reached for the handle of it, but there was no handle. nothing to open it. this is it, i thought, this is my end. the period to my sentence. i banged on the door, screaming to let me in, or maybe even out. and finally, the repeating beeps became
one
long
never ending
beep.
and that's when i could just feel my soul flying away, up to the moon, never wanting to come back down to the sins i've sinned. and so the light disappeared, and the dark void i was in turned red.
