Ch 28: Co-parenting

2 weeks later

Ever since argument number 3 with Noni I decided to leave her alone. I know she's still upset with me and there's nothing I can do about it. I tried and tried to be under her good graces but it just won’t work. I might as well accept that I lost her forever and move on. Our house is filthy the only two rooms that are clean are Jay's and the bathroom. Things just haven’t been the same, I lost all contact with Lanae from what I heard she moved again but I'm not surprised that's all she ever did was move. But I didn’t care this time, I don’t care all I care about is Noni and our unborn child we really need to talk to figure out what we are doing. I laid on the couch and stared at the pizza box on the floor and a big soda stain on the carpet. Noni would kill me if she saw the house like this. I heard my door bell ring and I ignored it I didn’t want to be bothered until tomorrow. I got up from the couch and dragged my way to the door, I had nothing on but my briefs and socks. I opened the door and it was Chres looking spiffy as usual.

“Wassup bro” I said dapping him up.

“Yo wassup with you, I barely see you anymore. You're barely working wassup with you” he said sitting on the chair across from the couch. I sat down and placed my hands through my curls “Man so much has been going on with the divorce and co-parenting, it’s been taking up all of my time as it should. I was barely there for my family man I just fucked up with Noni” I said placing my head back.

“Damn man, well I can understand why you aren’t at the club much you gotta take care of your son”

“Yeah and on top of that baby number two is on the way and she isn’t happy about it at all”

I watched Chres jumped “ Yo, Noni is pregnant again damn Jake you do have a lot on your plate but maybe this baby will bring you two together” Chres said.

“I doubt it, I wouldn’t be surprised if she got rid of it she isn’t happy about it at all , I don’t mind even with all of this drama I'm kind of curious about it”

“Well you're a great dad Jacob you just have to be there a little more, it’s more than providing financially”

“Yeah and I'm just getting that and now it's too late. I cheated and Noni won’t hear me out at all she be cursing the hell out of me and throwing shit at me. She's low-key abusive” I laughed a little.

“You turned sweet little Noni into a Demon vice versa with Blake”

“Ohh yeah how are you two?

“Ohh were on good terms alright” he blushed getting all excited I was starting to wonder what was going on. “Spill Nigga Spill”

“Damn I forgot I haven’t talked to you since her party but I took her virginity”

“Nah you lying nigga everyone at the club wanted a piece of her”

“Damn you making it seem like she's a piece of meat bruh but hey I won then. I turned her out” He smiled placing his hands behind his neck. I guess he was feeling like the man “How was that? I asked. He placed up the okay sign with his finger.

“Well I'm happy for you bruh you finally got the girl you've been drooling over, forever” I laughed dapping him up.

“Thanks man and what's up its trifling as hell in here you better clean up before your ex wife kills you” Chres laughed. “Ughhhh even hearing the term ex wife kills me”

“Well shit you caused it nigga. Listen I'm not gonna tell you I told you so and I'm not gonna tell you everything will be alright because I hate that shit but if you give her some space, sincerely apologize and show her that she can gain your trust again maybe ya'll can work it out plus my second god son is about to come it isn’t fair to him or Jay to be in this predicament” he said and he was absolutely right I'm glad he stopped over because I needed it.
