"U-up there?" You stared at the building before you. It was one of the taller buildings here in the heart of the city. The nicest apartment complex you had ever seen before that was for sure. "All the way up there?" While you had practically been attached to Keigo's arm since the two of you got out of the car you lifted one arm to point at the very top of the building.

"Yep. Your things are already up there. So the question is, do you want to fly or take the elevator?" He looked down at you with lifted brows and you instantly presses closer to him. You didn't like flying so much but such an enclosed space like the elevator with no window? Just the thought of it had your chest tightening. No, you weren't ready for that yet.

"F-fly..." You swallowed a lump in your throat as he picked you up in his arms. He was very careful where to touch, one arm under your knees and the other around your shoulders. While you were alright with him touching you and holding you certain parts of your body were off limits. You had learned the hard way when he first gave you a bath. He was careful to give your stomach plenty of room. 6 months along and the baby bump had grown to be noticeable. It was one place you were still very iffy about being touched. All depending on how your mind was that day.

"Hold on tight sunshine." He waited until your arms were tight around his neck before he flapped his wings and flew up high. You buried your face into his shirt, breathing in his smell. Like sweet citrus and sunshine. It was a scent that calmed you down.

Before you knew it he was walking on a balcony, opening a glass door and stepping inside. "Welcome home Baby." He set you down and you took in the sight. It was a large open space, a large sectional couch around an expensive display of electronics. An impressive wall mounted TV, game systems and the sort. But by the looks of it they hadn't been used before. That was the center of the space. High ceilings, beige walls. To your left and right the wall was just windows. From floor to ceiling. It brightened up the whole space. You could see next to the entertainment area was a large arch to a kitchen you assumed. There was a clearly unused table and chairs in the corner of the room. But other than the furniture the place looked quite barren.

"You've been living here alone?" You stepped down two steps to the floor and took a closer look. The kitchen was nice, but also barely lived in. There were many boxes by the door. Your things no doubt. There were two doors, one leading to a large bedroom, the other a large bath that was connected to the bedroom. Even in the bedroom there was barely much.

"I'm not here much." He let you look around and take it in. He followed you into the bedroom where you were now staring at the very large bed. You swallowed a sudden lump in your throat and turned to him. He always stayed a few feet away when he was behind you, usually stretching his wing into your peripheral vision as a sign he was there. Not to spook you. "Does the bed bother you."

"I-" You took a deep breath and shook your head, looking out the windows at the blue sky. "Just a bit. It's just a stupid bed but I-" You cut yourself off, thinking of the bed you had been chained on top of. "I know it's not the same but-"

"It's alright. It'll take time. We can sleep on the couch for now if you want." He moved around until he was before you, careful to approach. It hurt every time you noticed how careful he was. Like you were broken. And you were. While a little more than a month has passed and you had made progress you were still very much broken. It was just your trust and love for the man before you that made it possible to even want to live.

"No. If I keep avoiding it then a bed will be just that. Just that memory. That wound." That voice was still there, making comments. Like now.

He'll chain you up the moment you sit on that bed.

Now you didn't even have to say when that voice spoke. Keigo knew. "Are you sure? It's already a new place for you so..."

"Okay. C-couch for now." Your fear was irrational. Your body reacting in such a way was frightening to you. You hated this. Hated how broken you were.

"Alright sunshine." His new nickname for you was something that always eased the irrational feelings. Even just a bit.

"Is it okay if I buy more furniture?" You blurted out, eyes falling to him. "L-like baby stuff and things?" Changing the subject usually helped keep your mind from spiraling.

"You can buy anything and everything you want baby girl. Even a thousand stuffed animals or pillows. Or both." His smile widened at the way your eyes lit up. "We can do some online shopping now if you like."

"Mmm yes please." You made your way over to him and took his hands in yours. "C-can we order chicken?" You still had an undeniable craving for chicken often and Keigo was more than happy with that. He loved chicken too.

"This is definitely my baby." He hummed excitedly, taking you to the living area.

A few more weeks had passed and you were now entering your seventh month. Keigo's wings were back and currently you were trying to avoid a melt down as he informed you he would have to go back to work soon. Even if this place had become safe to you. Home. The thought of being alone was too much. He had been by your side nearly every second since he came to you at the hospital.

"Baby I promise I won't leave you alone." He pulled you into his arms and kissed your forehead. His embrace was comforting but the panic was still in your chest.

"But I will be. Keigo I- I can't." You looked up at him with teary eyes.

"I know that's why I found some people to keep you company while I'm away." He brushed the tears out of your eyes and kissed your nose. Little soft kisses like this were the newest thing you were trying to overcome. Only on the face, not the lips. As long as you saw him it was getting easier to feel his lips. There were still many times you would tense up or see flashes of Kai.

"Who? I only trust you Keigo."

"And Doctor Haru and your therapist. You will trust these boys too. Especially since I trust them and you were told it would be a good idea to open up to befriending other males. They're students." He countered and you didn't have much room to argue. "I won't leave you alone with them right away okay? I'll be here and be around while you get used to them."

"Promise?" You stuck out your bottom lip at him.

"I promise."

"Alright...." You gave in, burying your face into his chest.

"Yes! Alright come in boys!" He called out and you suddenly pulled away, staring up at him. Suddenly 3 teenage boys entered the bedroom the two of you were in. You recognized them but you couldn't remember at first. "Y/N this is my pupil and his classmates. They were the ones who found you."

Right. They were the ones who stopped Kai. Stopped him from- you tensed up, trying hard not to see that day in your mind. Despite your efforts tears ran down your cheeks.

"Sunshine-" Hawks was immediately wiping away your tears but you pushed him off, struggling to breath as you wrapped your arms around your stomach and bent down. "Y/N..." Keigo bent down next to you and looked to the three boys. "Give us a minute. But uh, you should watch this?" His eyes settled on the boy with the bird head but you weren't paying much attention, mumbling to yourself.

"T-they saw. W-w-when he... W-what he-" You broke out in a sob, tears streaming down your face as that day flashed before your eyes like a movie.

You're mine doll.

That was the first day Tokoyami, Bakugo and Todoroki watched you break down. Watched you cry. And, it was the second time Tokoyami ever saw such a pained expression on Hawks face. This time it was mirrored on all three boys. That day had haunted them too. Had been vivid in their minds. That's why they were here. Because they hadn't gotten to you fast enough before. They would do anything to make that up to you.

So they were there whenever they had free time. Watching your breakdowns. Watching Hawks take care of you. Listening to his special instructions and learning all your tricks and triggers. You tried to trust them. To avoid breaking down. It was obvious. But it often happened. It just made them more determined to stay around.

They weren't going to fail you a second time.
