Chapter 9: Future Trunks

Kagome and the others had finally arrived in West City where Bulma had brought Future Trunks in the bed. Goku introduced Kagome to his friends before Bulma feeds Future Trunks a Senzu Bean that Goku had brought from the Korin Tower where he met up with Yajirobe, and Future Trunks eventually opens his eyes.

Kagome and Shippo noticed there are crowds out there, especially those kids from school, Trunks, Mai, Pilaf, and Shu. They continued to stare at Future Trunks who was awake.

As he saw Goku and heard his voice, he begins to have flashbacks of someone that Kagome and the others didn't know and the deaths of Future Bulma and Future Mai.

"Black! You bastard!" Future Trunks yelled in anger. Everyone was shocked.

Suddenly, an angry Future Trunks jumped out of bed and attacked Goku, surprising Kagome and everyone. Goku was also surprised and confused as he blocks the attack with his hand grabbed onto his wrist tightly.

"I'll make you pay! I'll make you pay for what you've done to Mom and Mai!" Future Trunks yelled again, facing Goku with a furious look on his face. Then all of a sudden, Kagome punched him in the face and unleashed the katana from the sheath then pointed at the tip of his nose. Everyone was surprised by Kagome's moves.

"If you ever tried to hurt Goku, I will kill you! Whoever you are, there is no right to attack someone!" Kagome said as she glared at Future Trunks who was completely surprised.

"Kagome! Put that sword down! He would never harm everyone! He is Vegeta and Bulma's future son! Please put the sword down," Goku said to Kagome, pleading with her with his kindness.

She signed, lowering her sword from Future Trunks' nose. Kagome frowned at him, backing away from him. "Attack Goku again, and I'll give you more than a black eye."

Everyone calmed down, except Trunks, the little boy, who was shocked. Everyone thought Future Trunks was Trunks' older brother, noticing he was from the future.

"Who are you?" Future Trunks asked curiously.

"I'm Kagome," she introduced herself with a frown.

"And I'm Shippo!"

Then he widened his blue eyes in shock. "Kagome...? Shippo...? It's... you guys?"

"Yes, but how do you know us?" Kagome asked coldly, glaring.

"I've known you from a long time ago before it happens," Future Trunks said.

Goku blinked in confusion, walking towards him. "Before it happens? What do you mean?"

He blinked back, noticing it was the real Son Goku. "Goku? Is that you?"

He nodded with a smile. "Yeah, it's me."

Future Trunks blinked again. "Wait, so it's you!?"

Goku nodded again.

He then bowed down to him. "I... had no idea what I was doing... I'm sorry, Goku," he said. "I thought you were... I..."

"What are you talking about? You sounded like you were scared of someone," Kagome said.

"I agree, Kagome, but what is going on, anyway?" Bulma asked as she frowned.

Future Trunks widened his eyes in surprise. He kneeled in front of Bulma, relieved he made it to the past successfully. "Mom..." he cried as everyone watched. "I've made it count."

"Sounds like you've been through a lot," Bulma said, sounding a bit worried. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah..." Future Trunks before he greeted his father Vegeta.

Beerus approached the younger Trunks, confirming his name is also Trunks and realizing that someone has been messing with time.

Pilaf and the gang deduce that there is some kind of scandal going on Bulma silenced them, saying that she and Vegeta are the parents of both of them as they are the same.

Future Trunks and Trunks then exchange greetings.

He was surprised to see Mai, then picked up his sword. Bulma proudly explained the time machine was one of her inventions, while Future Trunks tells Trunks that they were when Trunks was a baby. 

Whis was surprised that humans are capable of creating time machines but says that traveling through time is a serious crime.

After that, when Whis explained the reason why time travel was prohibited, even among the gods, Future Trunks greeted the young priestess and the little demon fox-like Kagome and Shippo. "Forgive me for what I did, Kagome," he apologized to her. "I just thought it was someone else, but I was surprised that Goku came back to life after saving the Earth from Cell."

Then Kagome smiled kindly. "It's okay, I accept your apology, but I'm sorry for attacking you as well."

Future Trunks smiled back. "I accept your apology, too."

"Man, Kagome fought bravely, isn't she?!" Shippo exclaimed.

He smiled, nodding in agreement. "Yes, she is. It was the last time I'd seen her before Goku Black had killed you both."

"Huh? Us? Why us, Trunks? What happened to us?" Kagome asked curiously.

He sighed sadly. "Well, it's a long story, but I'll tell you guys later."

"And how exactly do you know about Kagome and Shippo?" It was Beerus who interrupted them, walking towards them.

"Who is he?" Future Trunks asked, pointing at him.

"This is Beerus, the God of Destruction. I remember when Goku told me that he wanted to destroy the Earth before we arrived here," Kagome introduced him to Future Trunks.

He gulped with a sweatdrop.

"Oh, and Whis is merely Lord Beerus' faithful attendant," Kagome said with a smirk. Shippo nodded in agreement, smirking as well.

"Correct, Kagome," Whis said with a smile who overheard them.

"Seriously?"

They nodded.

"Huh, I thought this guy was the God and he is the pet," Future Trunks.

"What did you just say!?" Beerus shouted in anger with an irk on his forehead. Everyone laughed as they overheard them.

Future Trunks gulped before bowed bow to the God of Destruction. "Sorry, you were very godly!" he panicked. "Please Lord, if you had to judge for this, spare my life!"

"Hey, go easy on him, Lord Beerus! He's a good fight! And no one told him he was wrong!" Goku exclaimed happily as he giggled.

"Well, this is a tough one, My Lord. How will you handle them?" When asked.

"Hmm, let me see... I'm feeling destructive today," Beerus said as the three children like the Pilaf Gang and Future Trunks gasped in surprise, except Kagome. He then smirks, "I know, delight my palate with something I've never tasted and I let you off with the firmest of verbal warnings."

"Works for me!" Bulma exclaimed, raising her hand happily. She gives Beerus and Whis some fish sausage, and they agree to let it slide. Bulma then gives some to the rest of the gang, especially Kagome and Shippo.
