As the light rain drizzled down, the clear sky turned dull with gloomy clouds. Just before the rain grew heavier, I hurried into the school. I silently thanked God that I wasn't drenched and didn't have to deal with wet clothes clinging to me, revealing my curves.

I happily grinned as I spotted my two besties. Abigail, the super athlete girl, was always so bubbly and full of light, just like a radiant sun shining down on us, pushing away any darkness that me and Harry carried. And then there's Daniel, who's also bright, popular, and athletic, but with a nerdy side too. They were like two peas in a pod. They were the sun of our group, while me and Harry were more like the moon. Although, I like to think of myself as the eclipse, adding a touch of mystery to our dynamic.

The bell's loud ring caught me off guard, and I bid farewell to the group. I made my way downstairs to my first class, which happened to be photography with the amazing Miss Jones. I couldn't decide if I should feel excited or nervous about having such a stunning teacher. Maybe a mix of both. She entered the room with confidence, and I couldn't help but be in awe of her presence. She was dressed in a sleek black blouse, matching suit trousers with a belt, and her straight hair perfectly framed her beautiful face.

"Good morning!" Her voice was so smooth and commanding. I couldn't help but be captivated by everything about her. But wait, I can't let myself think like that about my attractive teacher. "It might take some time for me to remember yours names, so let's be patient," she said, scanning the room before her eyes locked with mine. We held each other's gaze for a moment, and my heart started racing. That was a strange moment, but I'm sure it's nothing.

We have our first project due at the end of next month, and I couldn't wait! I'm usually right on time with project deadlines. As I was getting ready to leave, I heard my name being called. I looked up in confusion and saw Miss Jones looking at me. What could she want?

"May I talk to you please."

"Yes, miss?" I mumbled softly, feeling a bit intimidated by the tall, older woman. Maybe it's just my mommy issues acting up. I found comfort in playing with the end of my sleeve.

"Your school counselor is leaving for another job, and I've been chosen to be your new counselor." I was taken aback by the sudden news. I didn't know how to feel about it since I never really opened up to the previous counselor about my home life or myself. "I know it will be hard at first, but I will try my best to help out."

"Okay." I gently say.

As I joined my friends in the common room, including Harry, I couldn't help but notice that he was often late or absent from school. It always made me worry about him. Sitting next to Harry, I found myself lost in their conversation, trying to gather information about what they were talking about.

"What's going on?" I wondered, eager to catch up and be in the loop.

"Apparently, miss Jones and the vice principal are having an affair." My neck could have snapped when I turned to look at him. "Right?! I was surprised too." I was in pure shocked.

"How do you know?"

"Harry over heard them talking earlier that's why he was late." Abi told me.

The vice principal being married to the principal is why it's so surprising to discover that the vice principal is having an affair with the new teacher. As the bell rang, we had to stop talking since we had a tutor session next. We all got up and headed to the classroom.

The session ran by slow, and we didn't do much except talk about colleges and universities. I found it rather boring. I couldn't help but gaze at Miss Jones throughout the period. Daniel kept teasing me about it, but truth be told, he does the same thing. He checks her out, while I simply admire her beauty. I find everything she does to be magical.

Whats wrong with me?!

I quickly made my way to the corner shop, my mind still filled with thoughts of Miss Jones. As I stepped inside, I scanned the shelves for a simple snack to satisfy my hunger. The shop had a variety of options, from bags of crisps to chocolate bars.

I decided to grab a pack of crisps and a chocolate bar. It was the perfect combination of salty and sweet, just like the mix of emotions I felt after meeting Miss Jones.

With my snacks in hand, i went back to the school, I sat in a corner of the common room and enjoy my treats. As I savored each bite, I couldn't help but replay the moment from this morning where she ask my to stay behind. I had mixed feelings about the whole thing, but it mean I will she her more.

I smiled to myself, realizing that sometimes the simplest things can bring the most joy. And in that moment, I didn't mind.
