|| A Happy Day ||

Life flipped my world from worse to a little better. Well thanks to Atsushi, he's been making my days as memorable as possible... I hope that he won't be like one of the people in my life who'd just leave me like a bubble. But I know that everything won't last forever.

As I was going to get my stuff in my locker, I saw a slipped-in note from Atsushi. It read:

Dear Dazai,

Are you free this weekend? Well, I hope you are... Because I wanna spend our first week of friendship at the park! I hope to see you there ^^

- Atsushi

I placed the note back in my locker and picked up my bag

"At the park..?" I thought to myself. "Well, I have nothing to do anyway, so I guess I'll go"

"Hmmm, what subject do I have next?" I said while looking at my schedule

"Oh! I have Chemis-"

Thud

"I'm so sorry!" I said while half bowing my head, not looking to whom I just bumped into

"Well, who the fuck are you?! How dare you just-"

"I'm sorry! I won't do it again!" I repeated, now half bowing my body

As I looked up, I couldn't believe who I saw

"Akutagawa?!" I gasped

"Dazai..." He said in a toneless voice, avoiding my eyes... "Long time no see.."

"You've grown taller!" I said, changing the topic "What brings you here? Are you in this school too?"

"No, I just came by," He said, tucking his hands into his pocket "I just happen to sneak into your school"

He's still the same as usual...

"For what reason?" I asked

"Well-"

RRRIIIIINNNNNGGGG!

"Oh, I might be late to class, I'll see you around, I guess?"

"Yeah, bye"

How did Akutagawa manage to sneak into our school? I hope he doesn't get caught by any of the teachers. It's been a while since we met. He was my first ever friend.

I stopped as I heard someone calling my name

"DAZAI! WAIT UP!"

"Oh, Atsushi," I said with a blink

"Have you seen my note?" He asked, excitement filling his face

I nodded

"So... Uhhh are you coming?"

"Yep!" I said, facing him

He cheered happily

"But before that, we have to head in our classes first" I giggled

"Yeah, I also have to go, see ya"

"Bye,"

-Timeskip: Weekend-

"It's finally a weekend, huh.." I sighed

"Ah, shit! The park! I have to go!"

~Later w/Atsushi~

"Where is he...?" Said Atsushi in a worried face, looking at his wristwatch

"Well, I guess I should wait for him in a bit, he might be running late for some reason"

-30 mins later-

"He's taking so long... Maybe he isn't coming.." 

"I'll be leaving then.."

But as soon as he turned around, he suddenly stopped as he heard someone calling out his name

"Wait! Atsushi!" I shouted, panting heavily

"Dazai?!" I said in surprise, "I thought you weren't coming.." He mumbled

"I'm so sorry, the car just happened to have some problems" I lied

"Well you could've just texted me you that weren't coming"

"I can't cancel my plans to a friend! And besides, it's going to be the first time hanging out with you!" I said with a smile

"Hahaha, well thank you!"

"So... Shall we go?"

"Mhm!"

A few more hours had passed that left the both of us exhausted.

"Thanks for hanging out with me today, Dazai"

"I'm happy that you're happy!"

"We should hang out like this often," I suggested

"Why not?" He said happily

"I'll see you tomorrow then!"

"Yeah, see ya"

We went straight home and recalled the memorable things that had happened

I hope this lasts forever...

I closed my eyes and fell asleep
