|| Double Trouble pt. 2 ||

Timeskip: In detention

Ugh... I can't believe I get to be with this guy out of all people! He could've just stayed silent and leave me in trouble! And now here I am... Being with him for an hour. I just don't know if I can keep up when I'm around him

But... Why did he... Tried to save me out there..?

"Hey," I said shyly

"What..?" He said in a toneless voice

"I'm sorry... And... Thank you... For... Y'know, trying to cover me up... But here we are... Being in trouble all because of me..." I frowned and looked down trying not to look at him

He laughed loudly, covering his stomach, nearly falling down his chair

"H-hey! What's so funny huh?!" I blushed in embarrassment by his reaction and punched him at the back

"Ow! Ow! HAHAHA, stop! I'm gonna die if you continue that y'know?!" His face still red in all the laughing and roughly coughed afterward

"Whatever! Just... Stop laughing! It's embarrassing!" I shouted

"Yeah, yeah, sorry 'sire'" He rolled his eyes after teasing me with those words

"Yeah, yeah," I rolled my eyes back and muffled a 'hmph!' after

"But literally, why did you try to cover me up even if it wasn't your problem?" I glanced at him, and he turned away awkwardly

It took him a while to respond, and now turning away from me, placing his hand at the back of his neck

"I- I just... Y'know, feel bad if you face your problems alone..." He mumbled, now slightly red from the embarrassment

"Ooooh! NOW you're embarrassed!" I teased

"Shut up! And I'm not!" He denied

"Suuuuure"

We both laughed out loud and waited for detention to be over

"Ughhhh, when will we be out of detention?!" I complained, now leaning on my back, slouching

"In 15 minutes," Said the teacher, looking at the clock

"Oh that reminds me," Said Dazai that stood from his chair

"What?" I raised my eyebrows and turned to him

"Will you be my partner in the project?" He asked casually

"Oh, sure?" I said while shrugging

"Great! But what will we do though?"

"Let's just discuss that at another time"

"Hmm, yeah okay"

- A few minutes later -

"Alright boys, detention's over. You may go" Announced the teacher

"Finally!" I exclaimed, feeling like I was in complete victory

Dazai and I walked outside the detention room and talked all the way to the exit of the school

"Hahaaa, detention was a drag huh?" Dazai laughed

"It was..." I sighed "But it's honestly better than Math classes"

"Agreed"

We walked and walked until we reached the road that leads to our own destinations

"I guess this where we have our separate ways.." I mumbled

"Yeah! See you tomorrow!" Said Dazai cheerfully

"Mhm!"

He walked a few meters away, slowly disappearing from my sight.

"Oh well, I should be going too.." I muttered

"I guess... He isn't that bad... Dazai's a really nice person!" I said smiling

"Oh wait- what?! What am I saying!" I shouted

I sighed, and briskly walked back to my house

"I'm home!"

"Welcome back, Chuuya!" She greeted delightfully

"So how was school? Why were you so late?" She asked "I was so worried sick you know? Where were you?"

"Sorry... I just came back from detention... I'm so sorry.."

"It's okay, just notify me if you're coming late next time... And please avoid getting into trouble in school! I'm so worried sick!" She said as she hugged me

"Yeah, I'm sorry. I promise it won't happen again" I said, hugging her back
