I finish changing and he begins to walk out of the building. My sword is slung around my back, I'm wearing all black and I follow the lord on his right side. Everyone knows being by the lords side is very dangerous, many people want him dead including his own brother.
We walk to a pond in a garden that's similar to the one by his patio. Lily pads with flowers on top. The lily pads hover over the mossy green color of the water. Koi fish with patterns of white, black, and orange on them. It is quite beautiful. If only I could stay in this moment forever.
My mind began to wonder while were sitting my the peaceful view, why was he so scared that Gyeong hurt me? I think to myself as I mindlessly look into the water. We both were standing watching the pong until the peaceful silence got interrupted.
"Another guard is coming to accompany us." He smiled while he watch's the koi majestically and mindlessly swim in circles.
"Why?" I question him."I'm obviously big target for assassins. Many people tried but they all have failed." He says, but thinks to himself for a couple of seconds before we continues.
"Don't worry you are safe here they've all gotten punished." He said to me in a relaxing tone.
"What are their punishments?" I said to him with a puzzled look on my face. "Death." He responded coldly.
"Understandable." I say to myself while I try to keep my composer.
Snap.
I pull out my sword and stand in front of Dae-Jung. I get into fighting position. I whisper to him so only he can hear.
"Stay behind be the whole time. This area only has one doorway so it's quite dangerous for you to run. stay at least a foot behind me." Just when I finished telling him what to do, the assassin charges and tries to push me out of the way. The sound of swords clacking together fill the sound of the peaceful garden.
Shing.
The sword wounded me rib to my hip, not as deep as I was expecting. The pain wasn't as severe since my adrenaline was pounding, but it still hurt to move. While I'm fighting him beads of sweat drip down my forehead and back. Blood was oozing from my wound.
Clack, clack, shing, shing.
Two wounds in the shape of an X that are now on his chest. He slowly falls unconscious, then dead.
"Don't worry he'll bleed out before anyone notices anything." I say holding my wound, out of breath and struggling to stay awake. He turns around standing there in disbelief that he just witnesses a murder.
"You did this all for me?"
