She paced in the meeting room.

Her brother snickered.

"I swear to God Elijah, I will fvcking end this call." She growled.

A mocking refusal on the other end was the last thing she heard before ending the call.

Celeste gritted her teeth.

"Dammit Elijah!" She cried, slamming her fist on the wall.

The wall crumbled under her fist.

Her knuckles bled profusely.

"Why can't you take this seriously? You could die!" She sobbed.

She slid down the wall.

She cared for her brother more than she cared to admit.

Elijah was all she had left.

Her twin, her blood and bone, one of her best friends and partner in crime.

His life was on the line.

Celeste's sobs echoed in the old and musty room.

She never cried.

It was unheard of for the courageous, fearless Celeste Grenchbull to cry.

Yet, here she was now, sobbing like some soft little princess.

Expectations are hard to live up to.

Her crying calmed down and her head throbbed.

Her phone beeped, catching her off guard.

Celeste hesitantly reached for it.

The contact name read: ❥︎𝖸𝗎𝗆𝗂❣︎☦︎.

Were the hearts necessary? Yes.

Her heart fluttered and she cleared her throat.

She scrambled to fix her hair as if Yumi was standing there.

Her heart thumped in her chest as she opened the notification.

'Coming there now.'

She felt disappointed as usual.

Her phone rung suddenly.

She begrudgingly picked up.

"What the fvck do you want red pepper?" She asked rudely.

A cold chuckle was the reply.

"Elijah is in trouble. Yandere is seriously mad he left the tracks perfectly trackable." Alec exclaimed.

She rolled her eyes.

"You just found out?" She said.

Alec didn't reply for a while.

"Evelyn saw the evidence and now she knows that your grandma has something to do with it."

Despite expecting this, her heart dropped.

"That interfearing b!tch!" She cursed.

"This wouldn't be happening if you'd just stop your idiotic galavanting and do your job." She snarled.

His voice grew defensive.

"I got rid of the footage, so shut up. It would of been your job if you weren't away." He countered.

The front door of the warehouse opened.

She put the phone down without saying goodbye.

Furious footsteps approached the door.

It slammed open to reveal a snow covered Yumi with a calm look on her face.

"This is just like last year." She mused.

Yumi could be calm in any situation.

She masked everything with an immaculate air of calm and understanding.

Celeste stood up like you would for royalty.

"Celeste." She nodded in acknowledgement.

She gave a small side smile, making her heart thump uncontrollably.

Her smile faded the very next second.

"It seems we were too late." She announced.

"What?" Celeste inquired, confused.

"Alec did get rid of the footage but not quite in time."

The sentence made her heart calm down immediately.

Her eyes were round.

"You mean-"

"Evelyn saw Elijah on the cameras." Yumi finished off.

Celeste got her paining fist and slammed it into the wall yet again.

"That won't help your brother." Yumi said coldly.

She punched the wall repeatedly, ignoring her.

'Elijah, you idiot!' She thought.

A gentle hand massaged her throbbing one.

Yumi tenderly wrapped a bandage around her knuckles.

"I'm not going to do anything to him. We just have to make him go into hiding."

She couldn't believe that this was Yumi.

She seemed so caring, compassionate and kind.

Not at all the blood thirsty yandere she was.

Yumi was unpredictable.

"I'm going to ask you a question." Yumi announced.

Celeste nodded.

"Why did you join me?"

She flinched, Yumi noticed this and raised an eyebrow.

"How did you know my name?" She continued.

Celeste started to sweat.

"I admired you." She answered simply.

She was proud of this answer, it was simple, safe and expected.

"Are you sure it was just admiration?" She drawled, making Celeste shiver.

"You joined me with no second thoughts, knowing of my crimes and still voluntarily risking yourself and your brother." She listed, her cold black eyes meeting Celeste's dark chocolate ones.

"And why is that?" She repeated.

"Because I... Because I-"

Yumi held Celeste's chin.

"You're my most trusted ally, my right hand woman." She whispered into her ears.

She felt she couldn't breathe.

Yandere drew their faces close, both of them breathless.

"Aren't you?" She asked, pushing them both away.

She walked out of the room briskly, leaving Celeste to wonder the value of her life.

(This one was lowkey trash and not at all good enough for this amazing ship, but I couldn't think of anything else.)
