It's the day after meeting Alecia and it went great. She is so sweet and caring and I can tell how much she cares about Christian. She is definitely another mom figure in my life. The All-Star break is almost over and we soon have to fly out to Miami. Christian and I were sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast. We were making small talk when my phone starts to ring. I look at it and see it is my dad. I excuse myself and make my way to Christian's back patio.
"Hey dad. What's up?" I ask as I answer the call.
"Hey tiger. When do you plan on coming home?"
"Um, probably around the middle of August, why?"
"Well I may need you earlier then that. Mitchell is getting a different job and Zach is cutting his hours. I'm having trouble finding some help right now. Jeff is stepping up and helping milk. I even has Nick helping out a little bit."
"Oh my god. You got Nick helping out? What did you bribe him with?" I laugh because Nick was never a fan of milking, he was always doing work in the field.
"Surprisingly nothing. He understood quite well." He laughs.
"That's impressive. I'm sure I'll be able to, we are flying back to Miami in a couple days. I'll get a flight from there."
"You're not in Miami now?"
"No, we flew to California for the All-Star break. His mom really wanted to meet me. And before you go on about wanting to meet him, you will, just after the season is over."
"Sounds like a plan. I also wasn't worried about when we would be meeting him. I know he has a busy schedule."
"I'll text you when my flight is coming in. Pick me up?"
"Of course. I love you. See you soon."
"Love you too dad. Bye." I hang up and walk back inside. I sit back down in my spot and tell Christian what's up. He completely understands. We finish eating and plan our day together.
