Alright! First story from foxlynn_the_fox!
I woke up. Instantly, I feel the sting from the cold. Well, it was winter. What did I expect? I shuffle around in my bed, trying to keep the warmth in my body, but it's not working. So, I just lay there and think. Think about my life, my boyfriend, Rain, everything. I loved him. Very much. But...I wonder everyday the same question. Does he love me back? I sigh, still freezing cold. Rain snaps open an eye.
"Abby? Are you okay?" he asks me.
"Yeah, I'm just cold and I can't sleep..."
"Want to talk?" he asks, scooting over on his bed.
I sigh and walk over, laying down next to him. I feel warmer next to him. "Sure, why not." I pause. "Rain... I have to ask you something."
He seems to wake up more. "Sure."
"Do you love me?" My heart beats like thunder.
"Abby...of course I love you. I always will."
"If you could leave for someone better, would you?"
"No. Never. I want to be with you. For as long as possible. For forever."
I smiled faintly. "Okay...I just...had to know."
Rain mirrored my smile. "Well...now you know. I will always love you. Forever." At that, he laid down, closing his eyes. I let my head rest on his chest, starting to fall asleep listening to his heart beating. But before I do, I whisper one last time,
"Forever."
