Description:

Ever since a redhead and a brunette met, they seemed to get along with each other very quickly. That was, until both were suddenly separated by family. Years later, the brunette attended a school called Hope's Peak Academy. Their memories seemed to be all blurred. How would they react?

Author-kun here! Wanna know what happened back then since the description wasn't properly written out or something? Well, you have it now! Let's go back to when these two were smol children.

It was such a rainy day. A very small brunette was walking in the rain, holding her backpack. She had short brown hair and her violet eyes looked as if there weren't any life in them. She wore a white dress with flowers greatly stitched at the bottom. She didn't wear a jacket, and she's already soaked from her long journey to elementary school from her home. She never paid attention to the sound of rain, dogs barking, it was like she had shut everything out.

That was all stopped when she didn't feel any rain falling on her. A shadow of an umbrella towered over the girl and she heard footsteps next to her left, making her turn only to see a much more dressed appropriate for weather boy. A boy that had red hair. "Phew... that was close! Even if you continued walking, you would've gotten really sick!" The boy sighed with relief.

"I-it really didn't matter though... even if I get sick, I still have to get to school.." The girl quietly mumbled out, shyness quickly taking over her. No one really talked to her before... they just avoided her.

"Huuh?! That's not cool! If I got sick, then I won't be able to get to school! Who does that?!" The redhead was honestly shocked and got a bit mad. That all went away went he took a deep breath. "I don't think I introduced myself. My name's Leon Kuwata! I don't think I've seen you around before. You must be new, right?" The boy introduced himself, giving the brunette a kind and welcoming smile.

"I-I'm Haruka Sairentorīfu.. and to answer your question, yes I'm n-new.. I practically skipped preschool because of my mother.. I think that it's s-scary coming to school when you don't know anyone.." The brunette also introduced herself, now feeling a bit anxious about going. Once her shyness went away, anxiety straight up replaced it, leaving no room for her to feel relieved.

"Don't worry! Wait- what class do you have?"

"Class 1-C.. why?"

Leon had a wide smile at her answer. To him, he thought that this'll be a piece of cake. "Really?! Wow! I have that class as well! You won't be alone then! Think of it as like an opportunity or something to meet others. I'm friends with everyone in that class. The teacher is so funny and great as well! This'll be so fun!"

"Same... class? I won't be alone..? But.. I don't really like meeting new people.. they're too judgmental to everyone else. I'm afraid of being judged." Haruka shook her head, frowning a bit.

When the two children got to a bus stop, the redhead handed the umbrella over to the brunette. Then, he puts on his raincoat hoodie while the other held the umbrella over her head. "You can keep the umbrella. When it stops raining, you can give it back to me if you'd like!" He said before gently grabbing her hand and holding it with a smile. "There. That means that you won't be afraid and lonely anymore. From now on, I'll be your best friend!" He declared a bit loudly, clearly confidence was heard in his voice and how proud he is.
