Surius' POV

It was 10:45am on September 1st, and Sirius Black couldn't be happier

Well....

"Hold your trunk, and hold my hand. Hurry, son" Willaburga Black told Sirius

he would be happier of he could go on his own

He did as told and felt the familiar feel of apparating. The Blacks always apperate or flo, even with their children. Most other transportation had been deemed too 'muggle'

The pair landed in a grand train station with a red and black train on the tracks. Sirius looked up and saw the sign for platform 9 3/4 . Im finally here, Sirius thought, grabbing his trunk tighter and stepping towards the train.

"Wait a minute Sirius."

He turned to look at his mother

"Now, you've heard this all before, but i'm telling you again. Stay out of trouble, do well in your studies, and make respectable friends.  Am I clear?" she  said, her tone as serious as always

"Yes mother."

Sirius bareilly held back a sigh and eye-roll

"Good. Now, you  have 10 minutes to get on the Hogwarts Express, I'm sure you can handle it.  Now off you go. I'll be here to fetch you for christmas break. Good luck, son"

With that, Sirius Black was free for the first time in his life.

James POV

James was currently fearing for his life

He was being hugged too tight by his mother

"Mom...cant...breath..." he called to her

"Sorry dear, but i wont see you for 3 whole months!"

"I know and i'll miss you too. But if i want to start my education this year, i need to get on the train"

"Alright. Now, write at least once a week, alright?"

"I promise"

His dad, a few steps behind, spoke next

"And we want to hear that you are learning in classes, making friends, and, over all, having fun, alright? And the first step to that is sitting with a fellow first year on the express." he asked, stepping forward for a hug as well.

"Yes, you've told me that, and I will."

"Good"

James was released from one hug only to be pulled into another from his mom

Thankfully not too long.

"I love you both. I promise to write." he said, grabbing his trolly and stepping away. Giving his parents a hint

"Of course, hun. Goodbye, now" mom said with a sad wave

James waived back and, with a deep breath, turned away

Before he knew it, James was on the train looking for a compartment with another first year. He was planning on taking his dad's advice on making friends.

Finally, he saw a boy with black hair like his own, but a little longer, that looked young enough.

"Hi! Mind if I sit here?

"Alright"

"Great!" James said, stepping back out to but his larger things above

He came back in and sat down opposite
