6. UNDERSTANDING

Author's Pov:

It was the time when all the students rushed towards their respective rides to ride back home except for Yeona and Jungkook. They were currently in the hospital as Jungkook got panicked when he saw she fainted and for everything which he wasn't even related to, he blamed himself.

He held Yeona's hand as he sat on the chair which was beside her bed. Kissing her hand, he looked at her with his eyes filled with tears. He waited for the reports which were currently getting tested in the laboratory. 

The fear which she held in her eyes when Jungkook looked at her was still roaming in the back of his head. Her teary eyes and trembling form as if she could break into pieces broke Jungkook too much to the point that he cried.

A boy who never cried when his parents scolded him was now crying for his only love. He swears that he can never forgive himself if he sees something bad in the reports that he hope shouldn't happen.

Just then, the doctor who was in charge of Yeona came inside with reports in his hand. Jungkook gently placed Yeona's hand on the bed and went towards the doctor as he was eager to know the results.

"Well......What do you wanna hear?.. Good news or bad news?", Doctor asked but Jungkook couldn't decide anything at the moment.

"I...I guess...Good?", Jungkook's answer came out as a question but the doctor nodded. He opened the records and started examining them.

"So....the good news is....she wasn't touched more sexually as you said except grabbing the place where her back pockets are.......I'm glad you were there on time Mr. Jeon", The doctor said as he patted his back. "And....the bad news is that...She will be going through a trauma maybe for a week or two", he continued making Jungkook nod his head. He knows that people who get sexually abused will surely face these things.

"Thanks a lot, doc.....I will make sure to take care of herself from now", Jungkook said and bowed as the doctor did the same too. With that, the doctor made her way out and left Jungkook with Yeona.

Jungkook let out a deep sigh and made his way back to bed and looked at Yeona's sleeping form. He leaned down and kissed her forehead and caressed her head softly. 

"N...No..Sung Min.......Please leave me", Yeona said in her sleep as tears started to pour down from her eyes. She placed her hands against her face telling the illusion to stop whatever it was doing.

"Yeona.....Sung Min is not here", Jungkook said as he placed his hand on her head trying his best to wake her up from her illusion but it was in waste when she removed it harshly.

Jungkook's eyes were full of tears and he didn't try to touch her again. "Yeona....wake up!... It's Jungkook", Jungkook said as he tried for the last time shaking her.

"D...Don't touch m-me...Please", Yeona said as she pulled the blanket towards her to cover her head. She was trembling so hard that seeing her like this made Jungkook's tears roll down from his eyes. He bit his lip to stop himself from sobbing and with his last hope, he quickly started to shake Yeona trying to wake her up.

As soon as her eyes were wide open, she saw Jungkook's palm on her arms which made her calm down but soon pull Jungkook into a hug. He quickly sat down on the bed with a thump and hugged her back.

Yeona sobbed on his shoulders which made Jungkook cry too as he pulled her more closer. He was sitting with his body facing Yeona and his legs on the side of the bed.

"I...I'm so sorry, baby girl", Yeona let out a small chuckle in between her sobs. "I failed to protect you.........It's my fault that you had to go through this, my baby. I shouldn't have let you.....walk away from me", Jungkook said to which Yeona broke the hug and looked at him. Jungkook did the same too.
