Wednesday 8:15

"Alright, roll call. Allison?"

"Here."

"Klaus?"

"Unfortunately here."

Luther turned around and spotted Diego walking in, knives freshly sharpened and doubled in quantity.

"Son of a bitch," he muttered.

Carena's head lifted urgently from behind the bar. She raised her hand and grinned, "Present! Although it's technically the daughter of a bitch."

Allison went around and handed coffees to everyone as Luther caught them all up on the doomsday situation. As soon as she was handed her cup, Carena secretly poured the contents of the nearest bottle into it. Diego quickly caught her and snatched the bottle away.

"Can we trust him?" Allison asked, referring to Five, "I don't know if you've noticed but he's been a little-"

"Psychotic?"

"Crazy?"

"Out of his mind."

Allison rolled her eyes at her sibling's suggestions at finishing her sentence. Carena moved back to sit on the floor next to Diego's legs, nursing her warm cup closely.

"Five told me he lived in the apocalypse. He knows when it happens but doesn't know how," she filled in, "Ever since he returned, he's been following the only lead he knows."

"If he wasn't trying to stop it then those lunatics wouldn't still be after him."

"That's why those guys attacked us?" Diego questioned.

They nodded.

"What did Five even see?"

Carena rolled her eyes, "What part of apocalypse don't you understand?"

Diego prompted her to be nicer so she sighed and leaned her head against his knee in exasperation, "He said that we-"

"Fought together and tried to stop whoever was responsible," Luther interrupted. Carena raised her eyebrows in disbelief at his hidden truth. Everyone around them knew that he was hiding something, but she just kept her lips shut to see them pepper him with questions.

"Okay, so here's the plan. We go through Dad's research-"

"Wait a minute!"

"Woah!"

"Wait a tick, wait a tick, wait a tick-"

All of their siblings immediately stopped him from continuing. Carena snorted at how this would all play out.

"What actually happened the first time around?"

Carena innocently sipped her coffee and pursed her lips in anticipation for Luther's answer, "Yeah, Luther...what happened?"

He awkwardly looked down at his coffee cup to avoid their eyes,

"We died."

He instantly took a sip after making the low toned remark.

"What was that?" Allison urged.

He cleared his throat, "Uh..we died."

In the overwhelming silence and awkwardness that followed, Carena took it upon herself to relieve the tension in the only way she knew: sarcasm.

"Perfect response, Luther. A truly remarkable revelation."

Questions began rapidly firing out from the other siblings. Luther moved back towards the bar to distance himself but the other three just followed and crowded around him. Carena stayed on the ground sipping her coffee casually.
