Davien's pov before heading to the cemetery

Today was the day i lost my soulmate , my love , my everything . I can't help but blame myself for her death . She warned me but i was too selfish now she was gone.

I got to the office and the whole environment was thick and silent just like i liked it but she never did. She was the joy of the office .

I sacked my assistant because of her incompetence as least that was what i think but everyone says otherwise . By everyone i mean Genesis and Jaxon because when Riley died no one could come to me and utter any word against me and my decision apart from Jaxon and his sister

I feel so pathetic , Jaxon has been there for the last 4 years . I always drown my self in work to forget about my pain . My own mother fears me .

I was in my office when i heard a knock on the door

"Come in ." I gruffly said

"Hey Davien." Jaxon greeted

"Uh hm ." Jaxon said nervously

Why is he nervous . I thought slightly annoyed

"Uh Davien. "

"Yes ." I answered not taking my eyes off my work

"Aren't you going to visit riley today ." He asked and immediately i stiffened

"Sorry." He whispered immediately after sensing my anger and my sensitivity to that topic

"I am ." I said in a hard tone

"Ok." He said and he exhaled a bit

In the past i always shout at him or throw tantrums at the topic but i learnt to control it very much

"Jaxon." I called out

"Yes." He answered

"I guess you have your answers now so can you get the fuck out of my office ." I said in a cold voice and he looked hurt but i was more hurt .
Call me selfish because that who i am.

"And also tell Genesis to come to my damn office NOW ." I said and he simply nodded
(Poor Jaxon 😥😓)

If you didnt know Genesis is my temporary replacement until i find a SUITABLE personal assistant that can lead my company to a greater height

I am a billonaire and the only thing i need is PERFECTION in everything i do especially in my business
(Hehe the business man is BACK😂)

I left some instructions with Genesis and i walked inside my private elevator . I pressed the last floor and i when i got the i heard the people in the ground floor just got queit immediately.

I didn't even look at anyone but only at my car parked infront of the building .

The guard opened the door for me and i got out without and Tyler greeted me

"Good morning sir , where to sir." He asked

"Don't worry , i will drive . I said sliding into my Aston Martin car

" Ok sir." He said and i drove off straight to the liberty cemetery

At the cemetery

I got there and i saw mr Jackson

"Good morning sir." He greeted

"Good morning mr Jackson. "I said taking out the flower i brought for riley . She liked sunflowers.

"I would go inside now ." I said

"Ok sir." He said and i stepped inside

I got to riley's grave

"Hey love." I greeted

"How is heaven." I asked
(Like how did he know she is in heaven 😂lol)

"I caused your death and i feel guilty but the driver of that vehicle equally caused it . They could have diverted from the road ." I said angrily

"I promise i will find them and punish them including their family ." I said

"I know that you might what me to move on but i -i-i can't." I said but my voiced broke

"Ok i promised you that no one would take your place right." I hoarsely said

"No one will take your place my love . No one." I said

"I lov- ." I was about to finish it when i heard gasps and slient cries becoming louder . I looked over to see a girl , she was indeed beautiful with her brunette hair reaching her middle back and her little brown eyes just like her hair filled with tears . I wanted to wipe her tears with my hands and trace my thumb on kissable pink lips .

"God Davien get a grip on your self ." "What are thinking your late fiancée grave is right in front of you and you are checking out a helpless young lady ." My subconsciousness scolded me

Instead of thinking about her lips , think about saving her . Instantly i got up and walked up to her

"Miss miss are you okay ." I asked

"Why are you so stupid." I asked my self and i mentally smacked my head

"Come on breathe in breathe out." I said and she did

When she was calm i took to a near by chair and she asked me to sit . I wondered if she knows me at all . I only ask people to sit not the other way round.

We introduced and she said she was Nevah. She had a beautiful name . Damn her mood changes quickly , she was happy now while a while back she was sad .

She asked me what i was doing here and i couldn't help but be tense but i answered nevertheless . She asks too many questions but I am a man of few words

I couldn't stay so i decided to leave. I wanted to stay but when duty calls i will always be there

"I will take my leave now." I said

"Okay ."she said

"Bye Davien."

"Hm." I hummed and i left her .

I took one last look at her and riley's grave and i mouthed i love you to the grave.
