Allison had been back in town for almost a month and somehow you and her never managed to cross paths, not until today.
Your best friend Scott made plans for you, him, Stiles and a few others to hang out and reminisce on the old times. You quickly agreed, not bothering to ask who else Scott invited because you assumed it would probably just be Lydia, Derek and maybe Jackson.

Considering it was just a friendly gathering, you went pretty casual on the outfit, going for a pair of stonewashed jeans with cuts in the knees, a white tee with a graphic on it matched with a yellow, black and white flannel and lastly, you finished the look with a classic pair of vans.

After contemplating on taking a hat, you grabbed it on your way out the door, resting it atop of your head as you reached into the pocket of your jeans for your phone, shooting a quick text to Scott.

You:
On my way.
See you in 5.

You didn't wait for a response and instead slipped your phone back into your pocket, continuing your trek to where your car was parked. You smiled at the sight of the black G-Wagon before unlocking it and sliding into the cool leather drivers seat, starting up the car with your clunky key-chain making its usual disruptive sound. After that, you hooked your phone up to the aux chord and loaded one of your many pre-made playlists, smiling when the familiar tune of a Harry Styles song reverberated from the speakers.

Since you were quite engrossed in the music, you almost forgot to turn into the driveway of the bowling alley you and your friends would often go to before everything had become so complicated. Shrugging those thoughts away, you parked the car and then exited, closing the driver side door as your eyes cast over the building of the bowling alley.
You smiled, your mind wandering off into a place where only you could understand. You continued to smile as you made your way into the building, your smile getting wider as yet another Harry Styles song was playing inside the alley.

A coincidence which gave you the belief that it was a sign. A sign that you were meant to be here.

Overall, the night was great. You got to see almost everyone who you had gotten close with in High School. The night was so great that you offered to shout the gang drinks at some new bar across town. So here you all were, sitting at a reserved table in the corner of the place, drinking yourselves silly. As promised, you shouted the drinks and would go and get them refilled from the bar when needed. But when your eyes caught sight of a certain brunette while getting a refill, you regretted it all.

Your teeth bit down when suddenly her eyes looked up into yours. You could've said something, could've pretended that you were okay with her breaking your heart but instead, you turned back to the bartender.

"Really?" She asked, peeking your curiosity. "Not even a 'hello' after all these years?"

"I'm not going to stand here and pretend, Allison." You said, still focused your eyes on the bartender making your drinks.

"Why would you have to pretend?" Allison dared to ask which immediately caused your head to snap in the direction of hers. With a shake of your head, you chose to be the bigger person and ignore her.

Allison stood now, looking as if she was about to leave, but before she did, she wanted to stare you down as she had the last word.

"I made mistakes." She said. "I know that."

"We all have, Allison! Stop acting like you're the goddamn victim." You drunkenly lashed out in frustration. "You broke up with me, remember?"

"I'm not, I'm just saying-

"What, Allison? Saying what?" You cut in, your eyes no longer shielding themselves from her.

"That my biggest mistake was letting you go." Alison answered, taking advantage of your honest gaze as she stared deeply into it.

"Don't say things you don't mean." You said in response, suddenly bringing your eyes to look at anywhere but at hers.

"Y/n." She whispers your name, taking an added risk as she stepped closer to you, raising a hand under your chin so that you could stare at her again. You almost lost yourself, almost gave in to her, and just as your nose brushed with hers, you pulled back.

"If you think after breaking my heart all those years ago, that I'm just suddenly going to fall for you again, you've got another thing coming." You warned, your nose flaring in disgust.
You could've left like that and you almost did. You had your back turned to her, ready to leave when you faced her again. "Falling for you the first time was the biggest mistake that I had ever made."
