Chapter 28

Zero's POV

After Blake sent me to the backyard he went off to play some football

I walked to the punching bag giving it a few hits harder each time to release some anger that Skylar was creating in me

These cuts were giving me hell of pain, I pushed passed the pain to get some hits to the bag

There were footsteps coming my way, I was thinking it was Skylar and slammed my fists into the bag harder making the chains tighten on the bag

"Zero your going to open the cuts up more" Jason said worried I breathed out still punching hard with each blow

Jason left running off somewhere probably the football game to play along

I heard chuckling behind me and I knew it was Skylar by her scent I stopped punching the bag walking off to the track to do some sprints

I started off jogging back and forth across the field picking my pace up each lap I did

The sprints were putting my legs to its fullest speed I was breathing heavily not stopping

I was enjoying the pain and increased the speed as much as I could

After doing this run for sometime now I lost count of time by running

I stripped my clothes off knowing I'll need them later I shifted to let my wolf out

Lacie was finally able to run around and not be in a box and just walk for hours in wolf form

She pushed through the pain even more and ran for another long time not wanting to take any chances of going back down in the cellar

I didn't blame her that place was brutal and every moment we were getting punished for hours on end

She slowed down relaxing for a moment to breath and get some water

My fur was drenched of sweat and my coat of fur is thick so I new it was time to take a break

I shifted back slipping on my clothes and walking over slowly my legs felt like gummy worms

The time went by faster than I thought seeing the sky pitch black with stars in the sky twinkling along

I headed towards the water fountain that they had out here and got something to drink

My neck didn't hurt as bad and that was a relief it was hurting with every movement of the neck earlier

I stayed outside waiting for Blake to take me back in and since he wasn't back yet I walked to the middle of the field laying down and looking up at the sky

There were millions of stars out tonight making everything glow of light in the dark and shadows outlined the trees

It was actually amazing to see I couldn't help but look up in the sky seeing how peaceful it looked

I was falling asleep and I couldn't stop it this time and just let sleep come

"Zero" someone whispered in my ear I snapped my eyes open looking up to see Blake hovering over me

I noticed I was still outside and the stars were still bright and shining

There was other people out here I could tell by their scents around me

"We're all gonna watch a movie so let's go" Blake said getting off me and he was about to help me up but I stood up dusting off my clothes
