Chapter 31

Zero's POV

"Jack take Skylar and Zero to the basement" Blake said sternly. Blake was looking at me curiously and focusing on my face trying to find something

"Zero" Jack said snapping me out of the gaze, Skylar stayed away from me standing on the other side of Jack

Good she should learn to stay away from me. I shook my head from that thought not really liking it

My body slammed into a wall, I lost all balance collapsing to the ground knocking the air out of me, but I saw I ran into Jack

"Zero" Jack growled at me picking me up by the neck. He brought my head forcefully to his knee. My hands went up to my forehead instantly feeling light headed

I crashed to the ground laying there numbly 'Lacie you there don't leave me' I whispered to my wolf. Complete silence leaving me empty at the heart again

I held my stomach at the impact of getting kicked. Blood was coming in my mouth and I couldn't process what was going on

"Get up NOW!!" Jack yelled outraged, I scurried to my feet gaining my balance again. He held onto my hair pulling me to the ground quickly, I yelped when my head hit the hard surface

Jack was talking but I couldn't hear him as black dots started appearing blocking my view

Darkness came silencing all my pain

Coldness around my body and my head pounding crazily is driving me insane

Wait where am I, my eyes were open in seconds to be greeted with pitch black. I couldn't see anything it seemed like my eyes were still closed but I knew they were open

Bringing my hand up to my face I couldn't even see that. I brought my hand back down touching the cold floor

Maybe I'm dead or I'm back in the cellar. I shivered thinking that is probably it, they had a cellar at this new place I'm at just what I needed to hear

All the memories before I blacked out came rushing back full speed. Tears were pouring out my eyes like a waterfall and I couldn't stop them

My heart ached and I couldn't deal with it anymore and I couldn't see so I don't know where to go and I don't know where to go either if I could see

My lip started to quiver, I bit my lip hard trying to control the noises I'll make from all the pain

Whimpering will wake up whoever is down here or at least get there attention that I don't need right now

A whimper slipped my lips and I quickly covered my mouth muffling the rest of the noise I made for hours on

This kept me up for hours and sleep wasn't on my mind it was my wolf that left me and won't come back

I laid on the ground quietly all my tears were dried up and empty. I couldn't even move knowing the pain will come back

The quietness that I haven't felt in forever came. An image of my parents flashed into view as I closed my eyes.

We were all laughing enjoying ourselves after pack business, finally relaxing. I smiled weakly at the memory

My wolf came into my thoughts reminding me about the times I've escaped and got out only to be dragged back to the same spot

All these memories were hitting me hard and it was fueling my anger and bringing me emptiness the more I kept thinking about how much I've lost

I got up reaching out for anything but something hooked around my ankles keeping me in place
