Tala. 235 days before May 4, 1999.

"I think you should make Dobby's silhouette as the background," I said as I kept drawing.

"And you could have the logo written on a drawing of a sock," I suggested as I slid Hermione my drawing. "You know, because that's how Harry freed him."

Hermione took the piece of paper from the library's wooden tables and gave my drawing a look. And as she studied it carefully, she flashed me a bright smile and grabbed my hand excitedly.

"This is so good Tala! You're so clever," Hermione cheered before asking, "Do you know how to draw this well because you sketched a lot for dress making?"

I smiled at her. "You're clever too." I said in a British accent.

Hermione, Luna, and I were the only members of S.P.E.W. but it didn't stop us from holding meetings in the library. We just came back from a whole day's worth of getting people to sign petitions, and I surprisingly got a lot from the Slytherin boys. But to be honest, I don't think they really understood what they were signing in the first place.

But who cares, it's more names for me to gain.

I knew Hermione wanted to open it as an actual organization in the future, and I was more than a hundred percent sure that she would make it happen. Maybe if I make it out of this alive, I'll get to work for her someday — I think, I know I want to help house-elves as a career in some way. I don't know how but, for right now I thought we should make an official logo — passing it around as buttons and posters at school to help spread the word.

"What's wrong Luna?" I turned to her.

Luna had been sighing the entire time, dozing off and not really paying attention as Hermione and I worked. I was getting a little worried, Luna wasn't usually like this.

"I miss Neville," Luna sighed again.

Seriously, everyone should take a Women's Studies class.

      Burn all the men!

Except Draco, I'll let him slide.

He can pass as a girl anyways since he's so pretty.

I snorted, "But you just saw him during dinner."

"Yes," Luna said to me in her dreamy voice. "But he scurried away so quickly afterwards, even Harry was acting weird," she said sadly before turning to Hermione. "Don't you think so, Hermione?"

Hermione's rosy cheeks turned red at Luna's words and I didn't understand what they were talking about, I ate dinner with Draco and his friends tonight instead.

Ha, look at me — what a doting girlfriend.

"Oh um," Hermione said shyly as she held in a giggle. "I didn't pay much attention, sorry. Ronald he-" she giggled again. "No, never mind."

Translation — Ron kept kissing her neck during dinner, I could hear her giggles across the room.

They were so freaking loud that the sound reverberated around the Great Hall.

I scrunched my face up at that, "Gross."

Hermione crossed her arms at that. "You're one to talk, you have love bites almost everyday," she teased as she motioned to my inner thighs and my neck, making me blush. "And you never take off that necklace and promise ring of yours," She retorted before muttering to herself. "Wish Ronald could be that thoughtful..."
