[A Few Days After the Battle of Arene]

Tanya and Y/N sat side-to-side inside a small restaurant-like area inside of a train who's moving through the Empire. Tanya gently wipes her mouth with eyes closed while Y/N takes a bite from the plate of food in front of him.

Tanya: ["At Arene, I insisted on defending my nation's people, eliminating only the enemy mages"] She thought, glancing down at the food on her plate ["My hands are still pure as driven snow... I hope"] She thought once again, glancing at the boy with [H/C] at her side ["And I suppose he doesn't care at all"]

Uger: ["Excuse me"] Uger said, appearing out of nowhere, close to Tanya and Y/N, looking down at both ["It's been a long time, Major Degurechaff, Captain L/N"]

Y/N: ["Uger..."] He said with a bright smile. His face of happiness becomes slight curiosity when he sees the metal-like patch on Uger's shoulder, but it quickly shits back into excitement ["Major Uger! Glad to see you're doing well!"]

Uger: ["Same to you both"] He said with a polite smile.

Tanya: ["You're with the army's railway division now?"] It was her turn to speak. Y/N gently took a sip from a cup of coffee nearby him.

[A/N - If you're wondering why is it always coffee, well, it's because I'm addicted to caffeine]

Uger: ["Yes. I've heard a lot about you two"] He said while pulling a chair and sitting down in front of both ["Anyway, are you on your way to Strategic HQ?"]

Tanya: ["Yes"] She said with a nod, looking up at Ulger with her big bright-blue eyes ["You, too?"]

Ulger: ["Lately, I've been doing nothing but running errands for General Zettour..."] He calmly said. Y/N pulled his cup down and set it on its small plate.

Y/N: ["If the railway division's busy, then it's a big operation?"] He whispered with a small smile, leaning forward slightly. Uger looks down at him and simply chuckles with his eyes closed.

Tanya: ["Looks like you know something"] She said, looking up at him with her innocent face.

Uger: ["Well, I guess it's safe to tell you two"] He said, looking to the side ["I owe you both for recommending me for a rearguard position"] He said, putting both elbows on the table and putting his fists together ["They asked the railway division to make a plan for emergency transport from the combat zone, the planning folks intend to pull the Rhine front way back"]
