Voltron reacts to Lance

Chapter 9

(This has some things related to religion in it, I kept it to a minimum so that hopefully no one gets offended. It's just mentioning people from the Bible.)

"This one's about Matt cheating on Lance." 

"I did what!?" Matt yelled.

"You cheated." Author said again.

"Everybody knows that the dice are loaded.
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows the war is over"

"Is this in the future?" Allura asked

"He means his emotional war with Matt." Author told her.

"Everybody knows the Good Guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor The rich get rich"

"??" Coran was confused

"He's basically saying that nothing changed and their love war only hurt themselves."

"That's how it goes…
Everybody knows
Everybody knows that the boat is leaking"

"I'm very confused?" Allura said

"Be confused."

"Everybody knows that the Captain lied
Everybody got this broken feeling
Like their father or their dog just died"

"That's specific.." Pidge mumbled. 

"Captain lied?" Coran asked.

"Basically saying that the top in the relationship lied, meaning Matt lied."

"Ew! I didn't need to know who the top was!" Pidge said.

"Everybody talking to their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
And a long-stem rose"

"Why's it talking about valentines day gifts?" Shiro asked.(Yes I love space dad too it's just for plot I promise-)

Author ignored him.

"Everybody knows

"If he loved you why'd he cheat?" Shiro asked.

"Shut the fuck up Shirogane." Lance grumbled out.

"Everybody knows that you've been faithful

"I-I did it more than once..?" Matt asked 

"Yep. I think you cheated at least 3 times. With the same person too." Lance said dryly.

"But there were so many people you just had to meet"

"So he's a people person?" Shiro asked.

"Without your clothes"

"Oh.." 

"Ew!" Pidge yelled.

"Is the song ending?" Hunk asked.

"Not quite"

"Ooooo it's getting intense again!" Pidge said, happy to see her brother get yelled at for cheating.

"That it's now or never

"As in he lives in his heart forever." Author explained before Allura or Coran could ask.

"When you've done a line or two

Old black Joe's still pickin' cotton"

"I don't know, don't ask." Author said

 "What plague!?" Pidge asked.

"The plague of love. Basically meaning that their love is becoming sick and can't last much longer."

"Everybody knows that the naked man and woman
Are just a shiny artifact of the past
Everybody knows the scene is dead
But there's gonna be a meter on your bed"

"Why's it talking about Adam and Eve?" Pidge asked, despite not believing in their past her mother took her to church so she knew about them.

"Idk" 

"That will disclose

From the bloody Cross on top if Calvary, To the beach of Malibu"

"Now Jesus?" Pidge asked

"Don't ask me.."

"Everybody knows it's coming apart
Take one last look at this sacred heart

"Is it over now?" Hunk asked.

"Yea" Author said

"Finally.." Lance mumbled, tears falling down his face.

"What the hell was that Matt!?" Pidge yelled.

"I don't know! I can't even remember that happening!" Matt exclaimed.

"Mmmmnn...Shut up.." Lance grumbled, trying to fall back asleep.
