"So is Narcissa covering for you?" Nate asked as his sister finished dressing up

"Yeah, I told mother I was going with her to Diagon Alley" Veronica replied brushing her hair

"She would kill you if she knew you were going on a date with a Gryffindor" The blonde boy laughed

"She would kill me for much less than that" Veronica turned around "and that's why you're not saying anything" She sat stood before her brother

"You know I won't" Nate said

"Do I look okay?" Veronica turned around so her brother could gave her his opinion

"Since when does Veronica Riddle care what anyone thinks about her?" Nate raised an eyebrow

"I don't" she stated quietly

The truth is that something had change in Veronica since she got the Dark Mark. She had to stay strong, to fight it. She didn't have time to impress a boy. In fact, she was just going to meet with Potter to get away from her house for some time.

Veronica had been waiting for more than fifteen minutes for James Potter. She was starting to think he had ditched her.

Just as she was about to leave she was stopped by a curly haired boy with glasses.

"Veronica, wait!" He grabbed her arm

The boy was out of breath, with his hair messy and his face red. He had clearly been running.

"Are you okay?" Veronica asked noticing his state

"Yeah, I just got lost and came running" James breathed quickly

"You've never been to London?" She asked him

"Not to muggle parts, I just didn't know how to get here and I couldn't use magic. I'm so sorry for making you wait" James told her with sorry eyes

"You could have taken the bus" The black haired girl replied

"I've never taken a bus" he said making Veronica look at him in disbelief

"You've never been to the muggle world, huh?" Veronica asked the boy as she started walking

"Not much and not in a big city" James said looking at his surroundings

"In that case, I hope you like London" the girl smiled opening her arms as if showing him the city

"I think I already do" James smiled to himself

The two teens walked side by side through the streets of London, looking at the sights, stopping at the shops and having coffee in a small but beautiful café. James loved the city.
