"Good night, darling" Sirius Black said as he appeared on top of the astronomy tower where Veronica Riddle already was
"What are you doing here?" She asked him
"I was walking by and when I saw you here I thought to myself, why not let her call me a blood traitor a few times?" Sirius said throwing his hands in the air
"I'm not going to call you that" Veronica replied
"Chill Riddle, you used to have a humour. I guess you lost it when you got sorted in Slytherin" Sirius Black joked making his way towards the girl
"You didn't change. You're as annoying as always" The Riddle girl replied
"Ah! That's the Ronnie I know!" Sirius joked and threw an arm around the girl "This is depressing" he said looking at his surroundings
"I come here to think, you git" the girl rolled her eyes at him
"Still" The Black boy laughed
"I hate you, Sirius" Veronica laughed along with him now

"I'm going to grab something fron the kitchen" Peter Pettigrew announced going out of the Marauders room
"Alright Wormtail" Remus replied still reading a book on his bed
Only him and James Potter were left in the room, the latter doing homework.
"Where's Padfoot?" James asked his friend
"I don't know, probably with some girl" Remus replied
"Bet it's McKinnon" James said grabbing the Marauders map "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" he tapped in top of it to make it open
James immediately went quiet when he saw who Sirius was with.
"Is it Marlene?" Remus asked him curiously
"Veronica" James simply mumbled standing up
"What?" Remus closed his book shut. He had never expected that pairing.
"In the astornomy tower, c'mon" James said holding his invisibility cloak
"Oh no James, we're not going to spy on them" Remus shook his head
"It's not spying" the boy replied putting the cloak over him
"Please Prongs" Remus pleaded him not to do anything stupid
"I'll get you some chocolate!" James said trying to convince Remus
"Alright" the werewolf sighed getting under the cloak

"What about James?" Sirius asked
Both Sirius and Veronica were now sitting down against the wall talking about everything going on in their lives.
"You'll laugh at this but he is probably the only reason I had some humanity left in me while I had the horcrux" Veronica replied
"You literally almost killed him" Sirius said
"You know what I mean. The last bit of humanity left to not fully become my uncle" she corrected herself
"So you're telling me that you didn't go on a killing spree because you want to fuck James" The boy said putting his hair behind his ears
"I don't want to fuck him" Veronica rolled her eyes "And it was basically his smell. I smelled him in my Amortentia and when I had the Horcrux I would randomly go to the Quidditch pitch or to the kitchen for some hot chocolate when I don't even like it, but they reminded me of him" the girl explained
"You smelled him in you Amortentia!" Sirius exclaimed
"Yeah, now please don't shout. You really haven't changed since you were little" Veronica Riddle groaned in annoyance
"But that's bloody mental! That means you love the git!" Sirius exclaimed once again
"Sirius please, you know how hard it is for me to develop feelings like love" the girl sighed
"It may be harder for you to love than for anyone else but you still can" the boy assured his friend
"I know, it's still hard" she looked up at him
"You would make a really good couple" Sirius commented
"What? Why?" Veronica laughed
"I swear he is the only person as bloody arrogant as you!" The oldest Black groaned
"Don't act as if you don't love me" the girl laughed at his reaction
In thay exact moment Remus Lupin and James Potter walked into the Astronomy Tower even though the other two couldn't see them.
"We used to be really good friends" Sirius stated
"Yeah, I've missed my best friend" Veronica smiled at the boy beside her
"I've missed mine too" Sirius smiled back
Remus looked at James with a knowing look from under the cloak, there was nothing going on between those two. They were just reminiscing old times when they were best friends.
"I told you, they weren't doing anything" Remus said as he took a sip of his hot chocolate
"I knew they used to be good friends but not that good" James said taking a sip from his own mug
"They grew up together, Prongs and I think she's more of a sister to him so don't worry" The werewolf said
"Yeah"

"So after that we kind of became great friends" Sirius Black was being interrogated by James Potter in the Marauders' dorm room
"So you've never actually liked her?" The boy with classed asked his friend
"Of course not, mate! She's just my oldest friend" the Black boy replied
"Well but in all that time you cen develop feelings and-"
"Prongs seriously mate, cut the interrogation" Sirius cut his friend off "Ha! siriusly did you get that? That's me" the boy cheerfully exclaimed
"Yeah, yeah" Remus replied not even bothering to look up from his book
"You're talking about her all day, James" Peter commented
"That's true, oh James Potter so in love with Veronica Riddle!" Sirius laughed at his friend
"Oh, shut it!" James groaned
"You should ask her to Hogsmeade this weekend" Remus Lupin adviced his friend
James Potter stood up from his bed quickly as soon as those words came out of Remus' mouth.
