"Uh...I don't know" James muttered
He knew what he wanted but a lot of things had happened and it couldn't happen right then, they needed time.
"Me neither" Veronica admitted
Veronica looked into his bright blue eyes and James looked into her misterious dark brown eyes. It was funny how such different people found their way towards each other all the time.
"It's funny how different we are, but yet look at us" Veronica smiled
"Opposites attract, Ronnie" James winked at her confidently
"Woah, are we on nickname basis now?" The girl laughed making him join her
"It just came out" James blushed
"I like it, don't worry" she said touching his cheek with her hand carefully and making him look at her
"You know, whatever this is, I like it too" he admitting taking her hand in his
"Yes, I think we just need time to figure this out. After what I did to you I thought you weren't going to even look at me" Veronica sighed
"Hey! I already told you it's okay, that wasn't you" James smiled at her reassuringly "To time?" He lifted his mug
"To time" Veronica confirmed raising hers
And so both Veronica and James had an amazing evening, they bought candy, looked at some shops, until finally it was time to go back to Hogwarts and they made their way back to the train hand in hand. They'll figure it out with some time.

Days passed and so the relationship between Veronica and the Marauders blossomed. She was often found in detention with the other four boys, pranking Severus Snape and even sneaking into the Gryffindor Common Room at night. Veronica studied with Remus, assaulted the kitchen with Peter, remember the old times with Sirius and there was James. She spent a lot of time with the boy, her trying to figure out what her feelings meant and him forgetting about Lily Evans to focus on this complex but absolutely beautiful girl.
Despite her being now surrounded by four loud boys everywhere she went, Veronica sometimes wanted a bit of time without any Gryffindors near.
"Check mate" Veronica said with a winning smirk
"Oh fuck! How do you always win?" Regulus Black groaned
Both Slytherins had been playing Wizard's chess for hours and Veronica had always won.
"You know I love Wizard's chess. It's my specialty" Veronica winkies playfully at her friend
"Oh please! Everything is your specialty" Regulus joked
