Chapter 6

National City, Super Friends Base

Kara and J'onn arrived at the base while Alex and Kelly were waiting for them, when they saw the team arrive Alex asked, they left since they decided to search for the missing people

"Hey, any luck with the warehouse?" Kara sighed

"It was empty..." the J'onn says

"I was able to pick up Richard Bates' psychic signal, along with dozens of other people in that warehouse. But when I tried to connect, there was some kind of interference," he says, then someone entered the base, everyone looking to who it was

"It's because Obsidian is adding Platinum users by the minute." Brainy started while entering with his hands on his pocket

"The lens interference with the brain by using Q-waves...  which operate on a similar frequency as Malefic's Martian brain,"

"Just as I can't connect with Mal, I can't find those missing people," he says disappointment, but Brainy then says

"You can connect with them... by using Myriad," he says and everyone looks at him like crazy

"Lena wanted to use Myriad to disperse her Q-waves mind control, but if you turn it to reverse, it will compress the Q-waves in the atmosphere...  making it possible for you to track the psychic signatures," he said, Kara and J'onn look at each other, then she sighs and asks

"And it wouldn't be dangerous?" he simply says

"In your hands, no,"

"Then I'll go. But I don't like it," she says flying away

Fortress of Solitude

Kara was now using the Myriad trying to reverse it so she can find out where the missing people are, as she continues to finish using Myriad someone says behind her back

"You are using Myriad,"

"Lena, what are you doing here?" she asks

"Question is, what are you doing here, Supergirl?" she raised her voice

"I thought it was forbidden to use Myriad, but forbidden for anyone but you," she continues and Kara says

"People are missing, dozens of them stuck in Obsidian's VR. I have to find them," she said now once again working with the Myriad

"There are other ways to find people than Myriad. I can think of four off the top of my head, but you, you do what you want,"

"What I'm doing is finding people your brother disappear," she says raising her tone

"Do you have any proof that it was Lex?"

"No, I didn't think so. You just return to your default position of blaming a Luthor. You did tell me you'd treat me like a villain..."

"If you acted like one, yeah, I did say that. And right now you're trespassing, and I don't have time for this. You need to go," she says, but Lena shakes her head

"I'll leave when you stop using Myriad." Supergirl sighs

"That's not gonna happen,"

"To think I was sincere with you hours ago..."

"Then I guess you're used to being two-faced," she says now walking away turning the breach back to her base, Kara is about to finish with Myriad when she hears an alien roar, immediately turning around she flies to stop him, it was not on time, the alien opened a door, Supergirl tries to stop it, but the alien that was behind the door took the power of Kara taking her down and falling to the ground.
