Chapter 24 : Lost

Jazz POV

I left the house at dawn. Not too crowded yet. It is early in the morning and people are still asleep. I can feel the cold wind blowing.

Ayon sa nabasa ninyo, early in the morning I woke up because we were going to the Camping site. It was also included in our school event. It looks like a field trip. Ms Domingo said we will have activities to do to increase our knowledge. Yesterday, our Principal did not let us go to school to prepare for the trip this Saturday.

"Jazz! Sumabay ka na sa amin" aya ni Dad habang inilalabas ang kanyang kotse.

"Sige na anak, matagal ka nang hindi sumasabay sa amin" Mom added. I nodded at inintay na lumabas ng bahay si Steph.

After a while, Steph came out wearing the necklace that I should have given her on her birthday last Sunday. Ibibigay ko na nga sana ng maayos, nauna niya pang nalaman ang laman. Mukhang nagustuhan niya dahil suot suot niya.

"Come on girls. Baka ma-late pa kayo. Maiiwan kayo niyan ng bus" Mom warned and we went inside to our car. As usual magkatabi nanaman kami ni Steph. Ang awkward sa totoo lang pero hindi ko pinapahalata. Dad start the engine and drive to our destination.

I kept looking out the window. I remembered Alonzo again nung magbati na kami nung nakaraang linggo. Hindi ko inaasahan yon. Hindi ko aakalaing makakaharap ko muli ang dati kong binuyo noon, na sikat na pala ngayon. Ang laki ng pinagbago niya. Hindi na siya lampa gaya noon. Kaya na niyang ipagtanggol ang sarili niya. I thought he would never forgive me. He has a childish side and also has a maturity side.

"Simula ngayon magkabarkada na tayo"

"Ayun naman pala eh! Magbabati rin ang aso't pusa! Haha!"

"Oo basta ako sa may bintana" she replied and I refused. Mahiluin ako at hindi ako sanay sa biyahe. Meron akong baon na plastic bag kung sakaling masuka ako and I already took my medicine para hindi ako mahilo.

"Eh? Mahiluin ako kaya doon ako sa bintana"

"Sige ikaw na, kawawa ka naman haha" she replied. In just a few minutes, the female students started shouting that makes my forehead frowned.

"Anong meron? Nandiyan na ang bus?"

"Hindi nandito na sina Joaquin. Ayun oh!" Paolene point them at agad kong sinundan naman ng mga mata ko ang tinuturo niya. My eyes hit them. Walking closer to us. Suddenly my attention span on Yuan. He stared at us as he walked closer to us. Parang nagslow motion ang lahat at parang kami lang ang tao rito. The wind makes his hair dance in the air. His sharp eyes, his sharp nose and my eyes were fixed on his red lips causing my two cheeks to heat up and my heart beats fast as I bite my lower lip. Juicecolored nagmumukha na akong pulang kamatis.
