Dinner

"Mabuti at nandito na kayo!" Tita Ellen immediately hugged me and guided me to their garden. Halos mabaliw na ako sa loob ng kotse kanina, i badly want to escape and run away kanina pero nakabantay siya at nakaabang hanggang sa matapos ako sa paglilinis ng kusina.
He is now trailing behind us.

"Mom." i hugged my mom and took a seat. They are all busy preparing for the dinner, merong grill din sa gilid.

"You are just in time, Hija." Tita Ellen smiled and arranged the food on the table.

"I am glad that they are getting along well, Ellen." mommy laughed. I saw Lincoln sat beside me, still watching my every move. I roll my eyes and warned him to stop.

"You already talked to my son, Hija?" Tita Ellen chuckled. I saw him sighed and raised his brows at me.
"Ah! Opo, Tita." i smiled tightly and turned my gaze away from him.

"I hope my son is treating you well." she continued. I just awkwardly smiled at her and fill my glass with water. I drink it to calm my nerves. Ayoko talaga ng ganito, it will suffocate me. Ayokong magpanggap kasi nahihirapan ako.

I decided to live here in Manila because of him. I wanted to escape  and now here i am having dinner with his family. It sucks right?

"I already told you, Lincoln. Let's just forget about it." i hissed when i felt him moved closer to me. Tita Ellen and my mom was busy talking in front of us. I didn't even know why this asshole sat beside me?!
"What are you doing?!" i gritted.

"I am just eating, Celene. I'm not doing anything." he answered.

"You're so close! Ang dami pang space, oh!" i tried to push him away pero hindi nagpatinag iyong asshole. Halos wala nang natirang space saakin, kanina pa ako umuusog at lumalayo sa kaniya.

"I dont have time to play with you, Lincoln. Stop testing my patience." now annoyed by his childish acts.

"You dont want our parents to know about us, right? I just want to inform you that they're now staring at us." i heard him calmly whispered, he is talking without looking at me. He is focused on his food. I panicked and immediately turned my gaze away from Lincoln. My heart started to beat faster, i felt nervous when i lifted my gaze back to our parents who are now gawking at us.

"Dessert?" Tita Ellen panicked when i caught them looking at us. I shake my head and smiled tightly.

I refused to sleep in their house, nagpaiwan naman si mom. I didn't want to stay longer kasi baka mabaliw na ako.

Vale, can you pick me up? I'm here at Lincoln's place.

I am desperate to come home. Tita Ellen insisted that her son will drive me home pero agad na akong tumakbo palabas ng bahay. Wala masyadong dumadaan na taxi sa loob ng village kaya nasa main gate lang ako nakatayo.

I am still in class right now. Why are you there? I'll call Lincoln.

I panicked when i received my cousin's message. I typed my reply but it is too late. His car is now in front of me. He honked twice but i didn't budge.

"Get in my car." it is a demand. His voice is full of authority. I acted as if he is invisible. I dont want to associate myself with him. I think my embarassment is already enough. I am tough but my ego is bruised. My self esteem dropped when i realized how cheap and degrading my choices were two months ago.

I dont even know if i still have respect for myself.  I was fucking drunk because of that asshole who choses to cheat on me! My heart just got broken and i was left alone.
